Overview
Description
Petit Gite EymetBeautiful cottage with private pool, easy walking distance to Eymet's medieval square and great choice of restaurants.
Eymet is in SW France, the Dordogne region, just 20kms south of Bergerac. It's a pretty, medieval market town with a choice of boulangeries, many café-bars and restaurants, a tourist information office, a pharmacy, supermarket etc. The town holds a very popular year-round weekly market as well as night markets and gourmet food markets during the height of Summer. Surrounding Eymet is beautiful, wine-making countryside. During July/August fields of sunflowers, too, are in abundance!
Popular activities for holidaymakers include vineyard tours and wine tasting, food markets, dining out, chateaux visits, visits to caves, rambling, cycling, horse-riding, hot-air ballooning, kayaking on the Dordogne river, and simply kicking back and relaxing whilst soaking up the French ambiance! The towns of Bergerac, Perigueux, St Emilion, Sarlat & Bordeaux are all well worth a visit.
The cottage has an open-plan living/dining area with vaulted ceiling, well-equipped kitchen, shower room and 2 bedrooms with generous sized beds.
Recently converted from a 200 year old barn, the gite retains much character and charm. In a quiet location within Eymet, genuinely only 5 minutes walk from the centre (medieval square).
The property has been furnished and equipped with all mod cons with guests' comfort in mind. Open-plan lounge/diner with vaulted ceiling. Fully equipped kitchen with oven, grill & hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, Nespresso café machine. Shower room with WC and washing machine. Comfortably sleeps 4 within two bedrooms with generous sized beds (Superking and twin room).
Egyptian cotton linens and all towels, including pool towels are provided. Free off-road parking, Wi-Fi, Freeview Channels.
Shutters help to keep guests cool during the summer months whilst a wood-burning stove and electric heating means the cottage is cosy in cooler months. French doors lead to the south-facing dining terrace with Weber gas BBQ, enclosed garden with lawn and mature trees. The property has it's own swimming pool and sun deck, with loungers and parasols.

Leave Review10/10 Excellent
By Tim J on 17-Aug-2025A perfect accommodation, perfectly furnished & perfectly located, From the moment we booked, communication from Rachel was excellent, answered any questions we had very quickly and made the whole build up stress free. Check in and arrival was simple. The gite is so well set up, Rachel and Chris have thought of everything. A few minutes stroll into Eymet which is a find in itself, plentiful restaurants and bars, full of character. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday here and I can see why and totally agree with every review of this perfect holiday destination. A perfect 10.
10/10 Excellent
By Holly P on 11-Sep-2025Beautiful property, exactly as described. Clean, spacious and nicely presented. Super comfortable beds!!
Pretty Petit Gite only a stones throw from town.
By Steven on 02-May-2025What a beautiful place to have the good fortune to stay. Everything was perfect except the weather. The weather meant we didn't use the pool, sadly. We did get some table tennis in though. Very close to the township of Eymet, a 5 minute walk and your in the main square of the town.
Fantastic gite in superb location
By Anthony on 14-Sep-2025Absolutely everything. The gite is fabulous, has everything you need and more. The location is fabulous too, able to walk to bars/restaurants/market. The only downside for us was the weather unfortunately which wasn't very kind but nothing can be done about that.
Great find for a quiet holiday
By Vivienne on 24-Sep-2022well equipped, clean and comfortable. everything had been carefully thought about to make the gite user friendly. we were able to walk into the lovely little town and eat in some of the many great restaurants. The weather was really good to us and we enjoyed the pool and also being able to park the car in the shade! well located to visit vineyards and all the little market towns. Eymet and Monpazier markets were our favourites. Rachel and Chris were friendly and helpful but respectful of our privacy also. we will definitely be back!
Fabulous gite, fantastic location, great holiday!
By Angie on 18-Jun-2023Fantastic gite, the best we have ever stayed in. The owners attention to detail is exceptional with so much more than we expected provided. Supremely comfortable beds, excellent quality of furnishings & a really decent shower! The pool was a an absolute hit with our 3 year old grandson & we had so much fun. Location was extremely handy for walking into Eymet with its great selection of bars & restaurants.
