We have just returned from a wonderful week at Helen House. Even though the weather was inclement at times, we loved coming back to such a lovely home from home. The views of the harbour were mesmerising. Seeing different boats coming and going, sailing flotillas etc was amazing. Lovely to be able to see it either from inside the house or sitting on the balconies. The house is set on quite a few different floors so plenty of exercise going from one area to another. A steep (but short) walk down into town made it easy to enjoy a choice of many restaurants and bars. However preparing and cooking meals in the house was a joy as the kitchen is so well equipped. Probably the best I have ever stayed in. Helen House is well furnished and with a tasteful decor. The beds were extremely comfortable and we slept very well. Everything was spotless on our arrival. We were given lots of helpful advice from the owner about local restaurants, walks etc. We particularly enjoyed getting the little ferry across to Polruan and climbing up to see a spectacular view of Fowey harbour. We would definitely stay there again and am sure all future guests will have a similar 100% positive experience.
We have just spent a wonderful week at the beautiful Helen House. It is very comfortable and stylish and has everything you could possibly need. The views from the three balconies are amazing day or night. One evening we were lucky enough to see a meteor shower. We would highly recommend Helen House which is close to all local amenities.
This is a great property, perfect for holidays in the lovely small town of Fowey. The garage and driveway is an absolute godsend as parking in the town is pretty tricky. The views from the various balconies are stunning, and you can easily pass a few hours watching boats of all shapes and sizes come and go on the river. The house itself is well equipped with all the kitchen equipment you could ask for. There are loads of DVDs in case of a wet day. The beach is just a few minutes walk away, as is the town centre with lots of shops and restaurants. I'd definitely recommend this house to anyone lo
