Overview
Description
Overview: With so much room for entertaining and its own private patio garden, The Roundhouse is one of our most popular cottages for large family holidays. The cottage has an impressively spacious lounge with a new luxury sofa suite, TV, Hi-Fi system and log burner. In the dining room you'll find a massive oak table that has been made for the cottage and sits 14 people. The 5 spacious bedrooms sleep up to 9 guests and there are multiple bathrooms. Outside, you’ll find a sunny patio garden with a raised serene fish pond and waterfall. A gate in the garden opens on to a small bridge that leads into the fields and children’s play area. If your party requires more space, the 2 bedroom cottage next door (Tuckers Retreat), can be hired alongside The Roundhouse to form The Round Retreat. Details: This huge, welcoming lounge has a very impressive grand sofa suite and plenty of space and is our largest single cottage. The Roundhouse, is so spacious and spectacular that it almost seems wrong to describe it as a cottage! The cottage has a total of 5 comfortable bedrooms and sleeps a maximum of 9 guests. As you enter the cottage, the hallway leads you into the magnificent curved-walled living room that gives the cottage its name. This huge, welcoming lounge area has a new sofa suite and plenty of space for everyone to relax in, there is also a raised area to one side of the room which has extra seating - ideal for reading and relaxing. The cosy sofas and chairs are grouped around a traditional inglenook stone fireplace with large wood burner - there is nothing that warms quite like a real log fire. There is also a new 50" LED TV complete with a surround sound system and DVD player. From the living room, a door leads into the open plan kitchen and dining room – in here you’ll find a custom made table that is big enough to seat up to 14. The fully fitted contemporary oak kitchen has been carefully designed to cater for larger parties and has all the appliances and crockery you’ll need for a large get together. Patio doors and large windows in the dining room allow you to view and access the sunny garden with its tranquil raised pond and relaxing waterfall. Two of the 5 bedrooms and a fully fitted bathroom (with power shower) are located on the ground floor. These rooms are highly convenient for children or party members with limited mobility. Upstairs, you’ll find the impressive master bedroom which boasts a luxurious king-size four-poster bed, an ensuite, and a television. Another well-appointed bedroom with a king-size bed has splendid views of the North Devon countryside, and a further twin bedroom also enjoys an excellent outlook. There is another very impressive fully fitted bathroom with a large walk in shower (with a power shower) on this floor. A holiday in this unique cottage will provide you with a very special holiday and memories that will be treasured for years to come. Leave ReviewLovely cottage & relaxing break
By Jcups-Crew on 03-Jan-2023Well equipped cottage in lovely location with great facilities. Hosts very welcoming and nothing too much trouble. We will definitely book again and recommend to others.
The perfect place for a family of all ages to enjoy a get together and celebrate.
By David and Enid Bailey on 31-Oct-2022We went with our full family of 14 people, aged between 3 and 83 years old. It catered for all our different needs and requirements. The highlight being able to all sit around one table for our meals. The amenaties are first rate including heated indoor pool with Spa, Games Room and Playpark for all to enjoy. Very close to The Tarka Trail for cyclists or enthusiastic walkers and within easy reach of some some fantastic beaches for surfing, rock pooling and sand dunes. We particularly enjoyed on two nights being able to look through skylights at the magical night sky with virtually no light pollution ( what a bonus ). The owners were at hand to assist with anything at anytime. We are already planning our next visit.
Everything you need from age 3-83!
By DMB27 on 28-Oct-2022Just back from our second stay at Combrew. This time 14 of us stayed for a 50th wedding anniversary party for a week. Once again we had the most wonderful, relaxing stay, and the cottages and facilities had everything that we needed. Close by you can cycle on the Tarka Trail, visit Croyde for rock pooling and body boarding and dune jumping, or visit the Big Sheep or a National Trust property. On site we used the hydropool, badminton court, park area, games room and trampolines. We’re an active family with children who love being outside, and then all cooking and eating together in the evenings. We were able to meet all of these needs in the Round house and Tuckers retreat. Being able to store our bikes and do a little laundry is also really helpful when the children are adventuring so much. Once again Combrew ticks all the boxes for people aged 3-83! Thank you.
Absolute Dream
By Angie Healy on 11-Jun-2022Have just returned from a fabulous week at Combrew Farm. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and well equipped. The amenities and facilities were fantastic. Sue and her team were the perfect hosts and so friendly. Location was perfect for exploring North Devon. We were all sad to leave and will definitely be returning. I would definitely recommend it for anyone of any age.

By Explore51596831449 on 01-Sep-2021Three generations of my family stayed at Combrew and we had a wonderful time. We stayed in Courtyard and Barn Owl and both cottages were clean, well equipped and a joy to stay in. The whole family, from 1 year old grandchild up to the grandparents enjoyed the pool and all the facilities such as badminton and tennis. Sue and her team were very helpful and couldn''t do enough for us - thank you for a wonderful holiday. We came home and booked again for next year!
