Description
Renovated traditional stone farmhouse with private salt water poolLocated in rolling countryside with no immediate neighbours yet only 1 mile from the market town of Gourdon. Quiet and peaceful. 20 minutes from canoeing on the river Dordogne and 30 minutes from Sarlat, a medieval town with arguably the best Saturday market in the whole of France. 10 minutes from the prehistoric caves Les Grottes de Cougnac.
The gite has two bedrooms each with a double bed and one with two singles. One double bedroom has an adjacent bathroom with shower, hand basin and toilet with the other two bedrooms having en suite shower, hand basin and toilet.
An open plan kitchen, dining area and lounge ensures the cook is always included.
Outside is a large patio area around the 10mx5m pool with sun loungers and parasols, a traditional barbeque and a large covered area with table and chairs for alfresco dining.
Saturday changeover only.
Not suitable for families with non swimming children due to the proximity of the pool to the house.
Bed linen, towels and pool towels provided.
Please note that there is no television.
No pets I'm afraid as the surrounding field contains cows with calves.

By Mr Weston on 31-Aug-2024Wow! What a beautiful gite this is. It far exceeded our expectations. The owners have thought about everything, there is nothing we would change. The location was stunning with the only neighbours being the cows and calves in the next field. It is perfectly located to visit Domme, Sarlat, La Roque Gageac and canoeing. We ate out a couple of evenings but the best nights were lighting the bbq around the pool and enjoying the beautiful gite. Thank you Mike for sharing your stunning gite with us. We can’t wait to return again one day.

Outside area lovely and the cows nearby were lovely to hear and see. Wonderful meal in Gourdon at 'Le Pot Occitan' Overall the location is wonderfully peaceful and relaxing. Sarlat market a must (Saturday the better day) Thoroughly recommend this property.
