The Farm House at Thornbridge Outdoors is a charming, Grade II listed 19th-century building featuring a unique roundhouse. Located in the heart of the Peak District National Park, it offers direct access to the traffic-free Monsal Trail, making it an ideal base for schools, friends and families, groups, and organisations.

Sleeping Arrangements & Room Details

The Farm House sleeps up to 38 guests, including 5 staff or group leaders, across 7 bedrooms named after local caverns and caves offering a mix of bunk beds and single beds. The layout includes:

Pooles – sleeps 2, with en-suite toilet and sink
Treak Cliff – sleeps 3
Ashford Black Marble – sleeps 5
Speedwell and Blue John – sleep 6 each
Carlswark and Giants – sleep 8 each

The dining room seats 36, making it perfect for group meals and activities.

Kitchen & Dining Facilities

The fully equipped kitchen includes:

Catering-size utensils and appliances
Large cooker, grill, microwave, toaster, instant hot water boiler
Commercial upright fridge and freezer
Commercial dishwasher and pantry
High chair and travel cot available on request

Double doors from the dining room lead to a patio with outdoor seating for 36 and a large charcoal BBQ ideal for alfresco dining – guests can purchase charcoal when booking or bring their own.

Wi-Fi access throughout the Farm House

Arrival & Departure Information
Standard Arrival Days: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 4.00pm.
Early Arrival Option: If you’d like to arrive earlier for activities or meetings, please contact us to discuss availability.
Standard Departure Days:
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday by 9.30am
Sunday by 5.00pm

Pricing & Booking

The Farm House is available to book at the weekends and in school holidays (for none-school bookings).
We offer a single price per accommodation building, giving your group exclusive use of the Farm House – no sharing with other groups.
Bring up to 38 people, or fewer if preferred (more space for everyone!)
On Bank Holidays, Christmas & New Year the minimum number of nights to stay is 3.
A refundable bond is required for all bookings. This will be returned approximately 10 working days after your departure, provided everything is in order.
All prices include VAT

Extended Stays & Additional Options

If you’d like to stay longer than 4 nights or wish to book additional meeting rooms or activity spaces, please contact us to discuss availability and pricing.

Alternative Accommodation: The Lodge

If the Farm House is fully booked, consider our spacious Lodge accommodation, which also sleeps up to 38 guests. It’s a fantastic alternative for schools, friends and families, groups, and organisations.
