The Lodge is a spacious and accessible indoor accommodation building located at the heart of the Thornbridge Outdoors site in the stunning Peak District National Park. Sleeping up to 38 guests, including 6 staff or group leaders, it’s the ideal base for schools, friends and families, groups, and organisations.With direct access to the traffic-free Monsal Trail, guests can enjoy walking, cycling, and exploring the local countryside straight from the doorstep.

Bedroom Layout & Accessibility

The Lodge features 9 bedrooms, each named after iconic local edges, offering a mix of bunk beds and single beds:

Accessible Rooms:
Gardoms and Burbage – sleep 3 each, with wide doorways suitable for wheelchair users.

Staff Rooms:
Derwent and Froggatt – sleep up to 3, typically allocated to visiting staff.

Group Rooms:
Millstone, Curbar, Stanage, and Birchens – sleep 5 each.
Longstone – a large room sleeping 6.

The Lodge is fully single-level and includes a dedicated accessible toilet and shower room, making it suitable for guests with mobility needs.

Kitchen & Dining Facilities

The fully equipped kitchen and dining area includes:

Catering-size utensils and appliances
Large cooker, tabletop oven, grill, microwave, toaster, instant hot water boiler
Commercial upright fridge and freezer
Commercial dishwasher and pantry
High chair and travel cot available on request

Double doors open to a BBQ and outdoor seating area, perfect for alfresco dining. A large charcoal BBQ is available – guests can purchase charcoal when booking or bring their own.

No dogs allowed, except trained, registered assistance dogs (please notify us during booking)

Arrival & Departure Information
Standard Arrival Days: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 4.00pm.
Early Arrival Option: If you’d like to arrive earlier for activities or meetings, please contact us to discuss availability.
Standard Departure Days:
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday by 9.30am
Sunday by 5.00pm

Pricing & Booking

The Lodge is available to book at the weekends and in school holidays (for none-school bookings).
We offer a single price per accommodation building, giving your group exclusive use of the Lodge – no sharing with other groups.
Bring up to 38 people, or fewer if preferred (more space for everyone!)
On Bank Holidays, Christmas & New Year the minimum number of nights to stay is 3.
A refundable bond is required for all bookings. This will be returned approximately 10 working days after your departure, provided everything is in order.
All prices include VAT

Extended Stays & Additional Options

If you’d like to stay longer than 4 nights or wish to book additional meeting rooms or activity spaces, please contact us to discuss availability and pricing.

Alternative Accommodation: The Farm House

If the Lodge is fully booked, consider our characterful Farm House accommodation, which also sleeps up to 38 guests. It’s a fantastic alternative for schools, friends and families, groups, and organisations.
