Le Domaine du Champ BasNestled against the hillside – warmed early in the morning by the rising sun – these 3 beautiful 18th century Périgord cottages offer the charm of sandstone and the gentle way of life of the Dordogne and Périgord Noir.
A perfectly relaxed location for a wonderful family holiday in the heart of the ‘Golden Triangle’. Quietly situated in 1.5 hectares of private fields and woodland yet only 1km from Grolejac village shops, a friendly bar, family restaurant, an excellent butcher and your essential morning supplies of croissants & artisan breads.
The old railway line has been paved and provides a peaceful, attractive, dedicated cycle path / walkway between the centre of our village and the town of Sarlat la Canéda. Also, up to 40km in the opposite direction to Souillac.
Magnificent medieval chateaux to visit, stunning caves to explore, beautiful villages, bastides and gardens to discover, a vast array of outdoor activities and a Mecca of French gastronomy.
Ideally located whether you are looking for an action-packed holiday or a cultural / gastronomic break touring our beautiful region.
We aim to provide an environment of peace, comfort and relaxation. But, if you’re looking for things to do, this area is known as The Golden Triangle for obvious reasons. Each of the 3 cottages is completely self-contained and each has either a private pool or jacuzzi, a secluded terrace, kitchen, laundry, etc. The three cottages also share a beautiful, large outdoor salt-water pool set in the large garden and woodland. None of the houses are overlooked.

By Oliver You on 23-Sep-2020Helen and Scott are truly charming and welcoming people. Our cottage (Les Glycines) was very well equipped and had a very good Wi-Fi connection. The pool is sublime with its palm and banana trees (yes, really!). A special mention goes to the jacuzzi (it's amazing to splash around in 36°C). Well-located for exploring the region and the Valley of the 5 Castles. We highly recommend it.
Magnificent residence on the edge of the forest

Magnifique demeure à la lisière de la forêt avec un gros bonus pour la piscine chauffée balnéo qui ne peut que mettre tout le monde d'accord et les plus courageux (et un peu téméraires) iront se baigner dans la piscine extérieure par 3°C ! Petits feux de cheminée très agréables dans un espace living room convivial. Merci pour votre confiance.

By Thierry Gurardi on 09-Aug-2021One-week stay at the gîte (La Glycine). The gîte is as described, quiet and well-equipped. Perhaps photos of the bathroom would be a plus. The pool shared by the three gîtes is superb with a view of the valley. We rented canoes from Canoës Sans Frontières in Grolejac, much nicer than the other gîte across the street. At least the owner answers your questions.... Otherwise, the region is magnificent, especially in the sun. Scott and Helene are very responsive in case of problems. A good address to keep in mind.
