Moatside Cottages are situated overlooking the moat surrounding the manor house. They do have a shared garden but each has its own table and chairs and pegoda. They are fenced, but small children would have to be supervised as there is deep water the other side of the fence. They have been awarded 4 Star Gold for 2021 by the AA.
Moatside Cottages each have two bedrooms, one a double and the other a twin. They are both on one level - no stairs - and have underfloor heating, provided by a heat pump which takes heat from the adjoining field to keep the cottages nice and warm in the winter.
1 Moatside Cottage was originally the carpenter's workshop. The master bedroom has an ensuite shower room and toilet; the twin bedroom has ensuite bathroom with a shower over the bath. There is a fully fitted kitchen with the usual appliances including freezer, microwave, washer/dryer machine and dishwasher. There is parking for 2 cars.

The holiday cottage overlooks the moat of Newtimber Place, which is about 7 miles north of the city of Brighton and Hove.

It sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms - one king and one twin.
It is on one level with underfloor heating, the heat being drawn from the adjoining field by a heat pump.

There is a lockable cycle store available for those who are bringing cycles.

There are lots of walks nearby and the cottage is within the South Downs National Park.
Towels, linen, central heating, hot water and electric are all included in the price. There is an EV charge point to charge your car - it's a 7.2KW mode 3 with a Type 2 socket so you'd need to bring your own lead.
We also include liquid soap, shower gel, washing up liquid, washing powder, tea and coffee etc
We regret we cannot accept pets as sheep graze adjoining the cottage.
We do not allow smoking inside the cottage.
