Would recommend to stay

By Sharon on 14-Sep-2025

I had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful cottage for the weekend and can honestly say it’s the most perfect place I’ve ever stayed in. The photos do not give you that feeling when you walk in the view blows you away and you instantly feel relaxed. There is not one thing I can fault the cleanliness, the high standard of decor, the special touches, the way everything is catered for and not to mention the location are all 10/10. I went on some stunning walks around the area and the lovely town of Hawes is only a short walk away with everything you need. I am already counting down the days when I can return.

Such a stunning place

Just had the most Amazing weekend stay, I don’t think I have ever stayed somewhere with this much attention to detail from the comfiest bed and fluffy towels to the beautiful decor. There was a fully equipped kitchen that had everything you could possibly need to rustle up your meals . It was only a leisurely stroll to the nearest pubs and shops which were all in such a lovely setting. We ate at one of the pubs and the food was very good . We loved waking up to the sounds of the Beck, and sitting with our morning coffee watching and listening to nature. We had good weather so had a ride to Aysgarth Falls for a walk then booked a tour of the Wensleydale cheese factory in the afternoon which was a stones throw from the house. We also noticed the local little white bus company that went to all the surrounding villages. We can’t wait to hopefully book another stay in the near future.

Such Quality at Watersdale End

By Eileen M on 21-Apr-2024

This newly refurbished house just oozes quality. The owners have catered for every eventuality. The welcome pack was amazing and very generous. The furnishings, beds, bathrooms are of the highest standard and spotlessly clean, It is the nicest place we have ever stayed in Gayle/Hawes area. The house borders the beck and you can sit on the beautiful patio areas to make the most of the views or simply relax in the sheltered hot tub. It has lots of parking for guests who are arriving in separate cars. Just a short stroll a few yards down the street is The Wensleydale Creamery or take the footpath for five minutes and stroll into Hawes where there is an abundance of places to eat either for meals or coffee and cake. The Little White Bus stops outside the house which is very handy. We went to Leyburn on it. We will definitely be booking again.

Absolutely outstanding property in every way.

This is an outstanding property just a short walk from Hawes. Gorgeous location, the beck with waterfall at the end of the garden is just beautiful. The property has been renovated to the highest of spec and the quality of the amenities is second to none. The house was immaculately clean and the communication from the host was excellent. I would highly recommend this property to anyone wanting to explore the Yorkshire Dales or equally anyone who wants to spend time relaxing in the huge hot tub. The welcome pack provided by the host is a lovely addition and was most welcomed on arrival. There was plenty of wood for the wood burner and plenty of room for 6 adults. I can’t wait to return to this gorgeous holiday home.

Beautiful location & stunning views

We stayed here for a long weekend and wasn’t disappointed, the house is beautifully furnished to a very high standard. The welcome pack was a lovely surprise and we enjoyed the Prosecco (thank you),the views are fantastic especially from the patio overlooking the Gayle Beck which is so relaxing and peaceful. The Hot Tub was a great way to relax after a long walk .Location is perfect if you enjoy walking ,just a short walk into Hawes you will find lots of shops, pubs and places to eat. We went to the Indian food was gorgeous and we also visited the Fish shop would definitely recommend. A visit to the Wensleydale Cheese factory /shop is a must for cheese lovers you can sample every cheese . We would definitely recommend staying here at Watersdale End we are booking again for the summer , Thank you

Luxury holiday home in a beautiful location

By Sharon A on 31-May-2024

Just returned from a week''s stay at Watersdale End. I can honestly say it is the loveliest place to be and is only a few minutes walk into Hawes where there are lots of amenities. The majority of the rooms have dual aspect windows taking in spectacular views of the hills whenever you look. Is so well equipped with everything that you could ever need, and everything is very high quality . Linens, towels and bathrobes are very luxurious and everything was spotlessly clean. Welcome pack is lovely . A full draw of games were a nice touch as were the umbrellas in the hallway. The secluded hotub is a real treat and we used it everyday. Due to the English May weather we didn''t get to enjoy the patio furniture or the barbecue..... next time hopefully ! Congratulations to Sarah and Paul who have worked so hard creating an amazing place to escape too. Highly recommend and we are looking forward to another visit in the near future.
