Lakefield Cottage (also known locally as Potters Cottage) is a cosy cottage which adjoins Lakefield House, sleeps 2-3 people, and has beautiful views from the sitting room and bedroom. Visit Britain 4 star rated, it comprises:
One bedroom (one king-size and one single bed).

This cosy but luxurious cottage adjoins the main house and it shares the same breath-taking view over Esthwaite Water and the surrounding mountains. It is self-contained and is peacefully located.

The cottage has a separate entrance (off a shared private driveway) and comprises a ground floor lounge/diner looking towards the lake and mountains.
The living area has comfortable seating, a 26" flat screen (with Free Sat and a DVD/video player) and a selection of books and games. There are great lake and fell views through the picture windows. The stylish kitchen is custom-built in light oak with granite work surfaces and has a ceramic hob, Bosch split grill/oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/ freezer and washer/dryer.

The bedroom has a king-size bed and a single bed, both with duvets and linen is provided (towels can also be provided at £3.50 pppw).The bedroom is tastefully furnished and also has excellent lake and mountain views (see pictures). The stylish bathroom is luxuriously equipped and has a shower over the bath.

Outside, at the rear, is a private enclosed garden with a Lakeland slate terrace and garden furniture, perfect for meals "al fresco". This cottage garden is at the rear of the property and does not have a view of the lake. There is also a paved sitting area at the side of the cottage which does have good views. There is a parking space for one car. Tesco Direct will deliver food/groceries, if required. The cottage is suitable for 2/3 persons and one well behaved dog (sorry no cats) is accepted by prior arrangement.

Lovely little cottage

19 May 2016 Lovely little cottage Lakefield , Near Sawrey, LA22 0JZ, United Kingdom Date of Stay 1 May 2016 We spent a week at Lakefield Cottage the week following our wedding and it was exactly what we needed. The cottage had everything that you could need and it felt like home from home. The view of Esthwaite Water was stunning and it was lovey to look out at it from either the little garden or living room every evening. We enjoyed lots of walking in and around the area, which also suited the dog, who enjoyed himself immensely throughout the week! We had a lovely week and couldn't have asked for more!

The view over Esthwaite Water and the hills beyond was stunning. There is excellent walking in the area especially with a dog. Two nice pubs within easy walking. A great place to stay.
