Beautiful character cottage with original features including Yorkshire Stone flagged floor, feature fireplace, original beams and exposed stonework. Five minute walk to the village’s independent shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes on the historic cobbled main street of Haworth in the heart of Brontë Country.

Mulberry Cottage has had a varied past dating back to 1840. It started out life as a millworkers cottage. It was extended and converted in to a shop, operating as an off licence and a sweet shop in years gone by. During the 21st century it was converted back to the cottage it is now. We fully renovated the cottage in 2016 and it is well maintained and updated regularly.

The cottage is a short walk to the rugged ‘Wuthering Heights’ moors, which inspired the English literary Brontë sisters, with commanding views from Top Withens. Just around the corner is the famous Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, an authentic steam railway featured in the film The Railway Children. There's so much to see and do in Yorkshire, you'll be kept busy no matter how long your visit! Mulberry Cottage makes a great base for exploring this lovely part of Yorkshire and beyond.

A beautiful getaway

By E K on 25-Jan-2023

Mulberry cottage is the perfect place to unwind and let go of the busy external world. In easy walking distance of Haworth, with its quirky shops, and the Bronte parsonage and moors beyond, this warm welcoming cottage is perfect after an interesting day exploring. I’m already booking it again. I wish I could give this review 6 stars.

Second stay and just as fabulous!!

By Paul_Carter on 03-Dec-2022

We wrote a glowing review following our stay for the same week last week and second visit lived up to expectations. Julie is an excellent host - regular updates and a nice touch with the welcome “pack” in the kitchen. The cottage is lovely and cosy, particularly with the log burner going in the evenings. The bed is almost too comfortable - didn’t want to get out of it some mornings. Revisited all our old haunts and tried out a couple of new ones. Would highly recommend The Hawthorn (went there for a birthday celebration again - booked table 6 months in advance to ensure one by the fire) and The Old Registry for eating out. Haworth Brewing Company great for dirty chips/chilli chips!! We had a lovely day out on the Elf Express (steam railway line) but the only passengers without kids in tow - enjoyed the mince pies and mulled wine though. Couldn’t go on it without watching the Railway Children first of course (DVD in cottage). Went to Bradford for a day and would recommend the Media museum- if you are our age you will enjoy playing the retro video arcade games !! Spent another day in Hebden Bridge - another lovely place - The Old Gate fantastic for ale lovers ! No snow this year but everywhere looked lovely with Christmas decorations up. Very sad to leave and already thinking about returning next year - might try a different season! Thanks once again Julie.

Fabulous week in Haworth

By Anne P on 21-Sep-2022

Mulberry Cottage in Haworth is a lovely property within walking distance of a number of pubs, restaurants and coffee shops - also the Bronte Parsonage. It is comfortable and cosy and has been tastefully updated and decorated. The kitchen is really well equipped although we didn''t do a lot of cooking as places to eat in the local area kept calling to us! The owner Julie is very accessible and concerned that you have everything you need and left a welcoming bottle of prosecco, biscuits and milk. We would particularly recommend getting fish and chips from the chippie on the same street as the cottage, the Haworth Steam Brewery and Pava for evenings meals and Cobbles for coffee or lunches. Fabulous walks in the local area.
