I am familiar with this area of the South Pennines. This was a return and more leisurely, prolonged visit to Haworth and the surrounding areas. But it was my first visit to Mulberry Cottage. I cannot recommend this little gem of a place enough. Mulberry Cottage is wonderfully situated in the heart of Haworth, just a short stroll from the restaurants/pubs/independent shops. Walking distance to the Bronte Parsonage Museum and Steam Railway. Easy parking on the street. Parking outside was never a problem. Easy walk into Haworth itself. I have only positive things to say. Every little thing thought of to make your stay so comfortable, cosy and relaxing. The renovation is to a very high standard with all the character still remaining. House immaculate, spotlessly clean, comfortable very well equipped with anything I needed for my holiday, perfectly positioned for visiting the area. Approximately a 5 minute easy walk to Haworth''s Main Street. Always wanted the option of a cottage with a lovely log burner. Was fortunate to have had sunny, warm weather during my stay, so never had the opportunity to use it. Can easily imagine it being nice and cosy when needed though. Plenty of hot water, beds very comfortable (peaceful sleeps) The cottage is really well thought out, has everything you need and has clearly had a lot of thought gone into providing the best stay. It is more spacious inside than it looks from the outside. It also has the most comprehensive, detailed property guide & instructions I have ever come across for all information needed during your stay. The main street has lots of options for eating. A couple of lovely meals enjoyed at the The Fleece Inn (evening meal & Sunday Roast Lunch) Delightful little cream tea can be enjoyed at Vilette Coffee House & Bakery. The english weather was kind to me throughout my stay and I was able to enjoy some lovely walks around Penistone Hill Country Park (always breezy!) and across the moors to Bronte Waterfall. It was too warm a day for me to continue onwards to take in High Withens and Stanbury. An excuse to return another time! Enjoyed a relaxing, sedate, peaceful steam locomotive train ride along the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway. I had no trouble parking right outside the front door. Never needed to use the car for the rest of my stay. If you don''t want to use your car, there is good access to local bus networks, bus stop is a five minute walk from the cottage. Only a 30 minute bus journey along the panoramic moors road takes you into nearby Hebden Bridge. If you do enjoy walking/rambling I can highly recommend the scenic, tranquil riverside walk up from the hustle & bustle of Hebden Bridge along the paths and trails through Hard Castle Crags up to Gibsons Mill. The host, Julie, was so helpful and attentive from initial booking to finally checking out and it was great to get a text on the day of arrival to make sure everything was ok. The perfect host and was always on hand if any issues did occur. The welcome hamper was much appreciated and a lovely touch/gesture. Walking into Mulberry Cottage felt like arriving home after a long day. You can just relax knowing that everything you need is on hand. Mulberry Cottage is everything I''d hoped for. Answered my needs in every way. I really didn''t want my week at this delightful little cottage to come to an end. It had absolutely everything I needed and Haworth is a fabulous little place to visit. I stayed here for 1 week in mid-June. Brilliant stay. A real home from home. Would highly recommend and I will definitely be returning at some point.
It was ''Mulberry Cottage'' that drew us to Haworth (after searching for somewhere ideal for a month) and when arrived we certainly were not disappointed. A very homely feel to the cottage. Clean and very well equipped. Instructions for everything were clear and precise.. Out of the village far enough for it to be quiet but close enough to walk and enjoy the delights that Haworth offers. It felt like we had always been there. Couldn''t recommend enough to anyone wanting to visit the Bronte Village.
We had a lovely 2 night stay in Mulberry Cottage, we wish we had booked for longer. The cottage was warm and welcoming and decorated and styled perfectly. It had everything that you could possibly need for a home from home stay, It was perfectly located for a short stroll to the restaurants and bars. Julie was a perfect host and the welcome hamper was much appreciated! The cottage was very clean and the bed was so comfortable. It was our first visit to Haworth and it is a hidden gem and we will be returning very soon
