Description

Corner House in Hay on Wye sleeps between two and six in four bedrooms. It is a lovely three-storey, end-of-terrace Edwardian property situated opposite the mediaeval church. It has been fully renovated and refurbished and is a short walk from the centre of Hay. You

The house has a large kitchen dining room and a cosy open-plan sitting room with wood burning stove – all wood supplied free – and with good reading lights.

On the first floor is a double bedroom, two single bedrooms and a spacious bathroom. On the second floor is a large light double room with king-size bed with bathroom adjoining.There is a sunny, slate tiled courtyard garden overlooked by vines and wisteria, with teak garden furniture and sun loungers.

The house is just a couple of minutes’ stroll from the centre of Hay with its world-famous bookshops, cafés, castle, vintage shops and cinema. There are great walks from the front door into the surrounding hills and down to the lovely river Wye, with swimming and canoeing. There are three free public tennis courts and cycle hire nearby.

Short lets are from Friday - Monday and Monday - Friday (minimum three nights stay) or per week from Mondays or Fridays. We offer a 10% reduction for couples who use one double bedroom only outside of peak periods.

Corner House was perfect for our 3 night break in Hay. Great location and very cosy with everything you could need for a break away. Super log burner with a supply of logs, comfy beds and a great layout. It’s quite common for reviewers to say they will be back, but we have already booked !! Would definitely recommend Corner House in Hay on Wye

Best holiday cottage in Hay on Wye

We have been visiting Hay for over 30 years and stayed in numerous cottages. Corner House is by far and away the best: it is really comfortable and so well equipped, we felt instantly at home there. Judging from the number of repeat visits, we are not the only ones who think this. We have already booked again for next year.
