Heacham has just about everything including a good walk to the beach from this semi-detached family house. it is an easy walk to pubs, restaurants, shops and Post Office. Other holiday interests are only a few minutes by car, making it ideally placed for exploring the area.
Located in a cul-de-sac, Starlings is very comfortably furnished and equipped with light and airy rooms, and we are sure it will become a very popular place to stay with our guests who prefer to holiday in a quieter location away from the coast. Being only a few miles from the busy Victorian resort of Hunstanton, Heacham is becoming popular for those who do not wish to be caught up directly in the busy seaside town.
There is off street parking for two cars next to the house under car port and on the drive with access to the rear enclosed garden which is safe for children to play with patio area and lawn.
Night store heating in most rooms. Side entrance into hall; kitchen; lounge with dining area, and French doors to rear garden. Shower room with shower (10” threshold), WC and washbasin. Staircase to first floor: Three bedrooms, one with a double and one with twins. Both have access to the fully tiled bathroom with bath (shower over), washbasin and WC. The third room is ideal for playroom. Travel cot will fit in all rooms.
The local shops and the closest pub/restaurant are about 15 minutes’ walk into the village, although there is a small supermarket about 300 yards away. The beach is just outside the door. Heacham’s Norfolk Lavender is on the A149, only a minutes’ drive, The Royal Estate of Sandringham is just 4 miles and the historical port of Kings Lynn is 14 miles. Avid bird watchers have the choice of Reserves at Titchwell and Snettisham. Golf Links at Old Hunstanton and Brancaster are a few minutes drive, plus a regular bus service runs through the village from Cromer to Hunstanton and then on to Kings Lynn where there is also a good rail link. Snettisham watersports/sailing club is at South Beach Snettisham
HEACHAM is the home of Norfolk Lavender where you can see the history of the site and buy lavender produce besides many other interesting gifts. Farm Shop. Restaurant. The animal Centre and Farmer Fred’s Adventure Play Barn are open all year for children and visitors. The village offers a wide choice of pubs/restaurants, plus local shops all within easy reach of our holiday homes here. A good bus service runs every half hour to Hunstanton or Kings Lynn.
Sandringham House with it’s stunning gardens, museum and surrounding park are open most days throughout the year, perfect for picnics and dog walking. July’s Flower Show is something not to be missed! Being attended by royalty and offering a superb day out for all the family. Only 8 miles from Hunstanton, it is the perfect attraction at any time of year. Entrance to the park is free but there is a parking charge.
SNETTISHAM AND DERSINGHAM are very busy villages with several little shops, pubs, cafes and churches.
Snettisham Beach is just a few minutes by car and is popular for sailing. The RSBP bird reserve close to the beach has featured many times on television with its abundance of migrating and resident birds.
PENSTHORPE just outside Fakenham is also home to many different species of birds and a lovely day out for all the family with restaurant, walks, and play and information centres
