Description
A glazed double front door leads into the sitting room with its wood-burning fire and the kitchen dining area. The handmade staircase leads up to the galleried double bedroom, which has an en-suite bathroom.Middle Cottage is snug and cosy, it has a low downstairs ceiling and door, the floor is open plan with under-floor heated tiled floor. The ground floor comprises one room centred around a winding staircase, the sitting area with fireplace and wood-burning stove to one side, and well equipped kitchen/dining area to the other side.
This an ideal romantic hideaway, with books and games for lazy days.
There is an interconnecting downstairs door joining to East Cottage if larger groups wish to rent both.
Middle cottage is perfect for a couple, or to be let in conjunction with East Cottage.

Family Gathering
By Allen from Tynemouth on 06-Aug-2025We all had a lovely time and everyone thought the accommodation was excellent. Middle Cottge was good for granny & grandpa. The only downside was the shower for grandpa which was difficult with his balance problem. He use the walk in shower in the other units. Grab rails would be good for older clients in all showers. Just a suggestion.
A short break
By Jane from Gotham on 09-Jul-2025As always our stay here was to it's usual standard and I think we have stayed here about 4 times. The cottage has all our needs and is beautifully furnished and cosy. Plenty of room to exercise our dogs.
April Break

Family birthday celebration

All cottages were lovely & comfortable, and beautifully presented, whilst the grounds were perfect for lively dogs! Dee & Charles were the perfect hosts - there if we needed anything but not obtrusive. A wonderful weekend was had by all!
Our third visit
