Knot In is a very special, characterful property located in an elevated position above the road between Hope Cove and Inner Hope from which it enjoys a breathtaking 180 degrees view of the coastline between Bolt Tail to the east and Bigbury to the west. Spacious and well laid out it is an ideal holiday home for a couple of families or a group of friends.

Hope Cove in the South Hams in South Devon is one of the most popular villages in Devon to spend your well earned holiday. Originally a self build by the owners’ father, Knot In has been recently refurbished, with exposed stonework, wooden floorboards and beams, new bathrooms, comfortable furnishings and a bright colour scheme. This substantial family home can sleep up to 13 so makes for a fabulous place to spend time with extended family or groups of friends. Fabulous views are to be enjoyed from most rooms, but in particular, the large open plan lounge/diner has double aspect large windows which allow you to take in the coastal scenery in all its splendour, from the comfort of the sofas or your seat at the games table. Located between Hope Cove and Inner Hope, Knot In is within walking distance of two beautiful beaches, the South West Coast Path and village conveniences like shop, pub and several eateries which together provide a wide range of menu choices. Should you wish to explore further the popular beaches of Bigbury, Bantham, South Milton Sands and Thurlestone are a short drive away, as is the picturesque seaside town of Salcombe with its busy estuary and bustling shops and restaurants. However, there is plenty to be discovered in the wider South Hams, well known for its beautiful countryside, pretty villages and unspoilt estuaries, so make sure to bring your bikes and canoes ready for exploring or use one of the many hire facilities dotted around the area.

Knot In, Hope Cove, South Devon is a large, family house with outstanding views. The photos really don't do it justice! You enter Knot In on the middle floor. Turn right and you enter the huge kitchen, diner and lounge. This space occupies probably half of the total floor area of middle floor of the house. The kitchen is separated from the lounge. It is fully fitted with all mod cons as well as a feature, working aga and a separate walk in larder. The dining area has a large wooden table with seating for 12. The dual aspect lounge offers the most spectacular views of the coastline through the enormous picture windows. Furnished with sofas and comfy chairs all placed to face the large fireplace, this room is a wonderful space to enjoy being with family and friends. Turn left and you find 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, one with shower, the other with bath and shower over. The blue ‘family’ bedroom has a large bed and 2 singles. The pink bedroom houses a king bed which faces out to sea. You would be forgiven for not wanting to get up in the mornings! Stairs take you upstairs and here you have a further 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and separate wc. Bedroom 3 has a large bed; bedroom 4 houses 3 single beds, a perfect space for children and bedroom 5 has a double bed. All these rooms have feature sloping ceilings as they are at the top of the house. On the ground floor is a games room furnished with sofas, chairs and a great assortment of games. There is also a large utility room furnished with washing machine, Belfast sink and plenty of storage. A perfect space to wash off the sand after a hard day at the beach. Outside, Knot In enjoys a private courtyard which is a real sun trap. The perfect place for a little al fresco living. The large plot is surrounded by grassy areas (unfenced) and has parking for 5 cars.

Hope Cove is one of the most beautiful holiday destinations - once visited, holiday makers return year after year.

Access is available via a key safe.
