Hunstanton known as Sunny Hunny, has something to keep the whole family entertained. Sandy beaches, rock pools, guided tours on the wash monster, sailing, kite surfing and water skiing. On the sea front there are many stalls selling ice creams, food and sweet treats. Amusements and slot machines are in abundance on the pier. A fun fair, bowling alley, adventure golf. Sea Life Sanctuary and sports centre are found along the promenade. Children and adults can paint their own ceramics in the town too.
Take a walk along the promenade, taking you to either Old Hunstanton, via the beach and candy striped cliffs. or in the other direction to Heacham. Walk around the sensory park or esplanade gardens which provide a colourful display of flowers in the summer months for the Anglia in Bloom competition. The Norfolk Coastal Path takes you 34 miles around the coast to Cromer from the North Promenade. Heritage, Horticultural or Wolf Trails are available from the local Tourist Information Centre located in the Town Hall.
Relax on the green, enjoy the summer entertainment in the bandstand on Sunday afternoons, or appreciate the beautiful sunsets in the big Norfolk skies. Book a seat at the theatre for a show, or take a round of golf, or take a leisurely ride on the Coast Liner bus around the coast. Visit the Heritage Centre or the Coal Shed Gallery. Various festivals throughout the year include the Lifestyle Festival, Hunstanton Carnival, Kite Festival and the Charity Christmas Day Swim.
Old Hunstanton has a beautiful sandy beach with dunes There are various eating places including the Beach Cafe. Visit the lifeboat station on a Sunday, hire a beach hut for the day (these can be hired through Norfolk Holiday Homes) play a game of pitch and putt, browse local crafts and antiques in Le Strange Barns. St Marys Church holds various events throughout the year including the annual flower festival. There is a post office with deli where you can buy treats for your picnics too.
Main line trains from the North and London travel to King's Lynn and the King's Lynn bus station offers regular routes to the coast and beyond.
