Marine Court is the perfect place to spend time with others. Multiple families can holiday together, celebrate a milestone with friends or extended family, or get away with a group who share common interests.
Across the first and second floors are 8 stylish bedrooms, all with en-suite facilities, and including two family rooms, allowing us to cater for most groups. On the ground floor is a lounge, dining area for eating or playing games, a games room and a well equipped commercial kitchen. At the front of the property is a sun-kissed terrace where you can enjoy your morning coffee or maybe a cheeky sundowner with friends.
There really is plenty to keep everyone entertained within the locality. We're privileged to be next to the coastal path, and it's a short walk down to the nearest cove, or to the harbour with all of its opportunities to eat or mooch around some of the art galleries or shops. You can spend some time on the beach, rock pooling or crabbing. From the harbour you can take various boat trips including out to Lundy Island. For the more adventurous there are plenty of outdoor activities possible including surfing, coasteering, kayaking, diving, paddle boarding and quad biking. But sometimes it's the simplest things that bring the most pleasure, such as fish and chips or a bbq on the beach, watching the sun set.
Until 2020, Marine Court operated as a quality guesthouse. It's now available on a self-catering basis for larger groups to book out the entire property. You could be holidaying with your extending family or multiple families together, or celebrating a significant birthday or anniversary. Groups such as golfing parties or diving groups are also welcome. Sadly we are unable to accept bookings for stag and hen parties.
We know that it's helpful to understand what you can expect to be supplied at the property and what you need to bring with you or buy. The property is self-catering and has a well equipped kitchen for you to use.
There are also a lot of local outlets for takeaway (free parking after 1800 in most car parks) and delivery. If you wish to eat out as a large group then you will need to book places in advance.
Bed linen plus a bath sheet and hand towel per guest.
Each bathroom will have 1 spare toilet roll.
A few tea-towels and oven gloves.
A 'get you going' supply of washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets.
Each bathroom has some basic toiletries such as shampoo and shower gel.
A couple of umbrellas are available for use by guests.
You will need to bring or purchase:
Toilet rolls for when the initial supply has been used up.
Kitchen roll, cling film, foil (although there may be some remaining from previous guests).
Please bring your own towels for use at the beach or pool.
We can supply one travel cot but please bring your own bedding.
In Ilfracombe there are Tesco and Lidl supermarkets plus a number of convenience stores, greengrocer and butchers.
You can pre-order a delivery from Tesco or Asda but please ensure that this will arrive after you have checked in. We are unlikely to have the manpower to help with large deliveries before you arrive, though will always do what we can to assist. There is a large fridge and separate large freezer in the kitchen plus a drinks fridge in the lounge.
