In addition the large private garden at the rear has so much to offer you will be forgiven for choosing to remain here for the duration of your stay. To make the very best of our location on the edge of National Trust Parkland you can soak in the scenery from the luxury of the large hot tub situated on the upper patio. If you fancy something hotter, you can step into the sauna. Alternatively, you can simply relax in the comfort of the spacious garden room. There are a number of highly attractive stopping off points on the garden path leading to the delightfully restful sanctuary (former greenhouse), the surprising ambiance of the shed/bar, or the outdoor luxury of the decked patio close to the story tree. Many of our guests love the peace and tranquility of the Sanctuary - a little oasis to enjoy a read, a glass of your favourite tipple or simply to close your eyes and snooze. The house is totally amazing and some of the little extra touches (fresh bread & cake) just made this even more lovely. Great location and all round wonderful stay. 2 nights was just not long enough though! Thank you. Lasting memories: Family time. Was lovely to be able to bring our dog and to have the rooms to bring our Ukranian friend as well. This was all a whole new experience for her!

By Tarquinn, Gin & Betsy the dog on 06-Jan-2026Thank you for sharing Highfield and allowing us to have THE most wonderful, memory filled holiday. Despite temperatures of minus 10 degrees C we enjoyed the Hot Tub and Sauna every evening and are completely hooked! The house and gardens are perfectly located for stunning walks and the personal welcome was a lovely touch. Best wishes for 2026 Lasting memories: Watching the Quadrantid meteor shower in the hot tub on New Years Eve and hearing the bells ring in 2026! Also a barn owl flew over us in the hot tub whilst we watched sunrise ... priceless!
