Ty Mawr is detached former farmhouse in a peaceful setting in rural Anglesey approximately one mile from Borth Wen beach and three miles from Church Bay. The house has been extended to incorporate a large first floor bedroom with abalcony that displays the wonderful rural and sea views towards Holyhead mountain and the breakwater and the Irish sea with the Skerries Lighthouse to the north. Ty Mawr had a large gated garden with ample parking with two driveways. There is a lawned area and plenty of garden furniture. There are televisions in both lounges and a television in the large bedroom which is operated on a firestick and amazon.

There is a shop in the village and the black lion pub just before the village. Llanfachraeth, the next village, has a pub serving meals and a good shop/post office. Whilst Valley (appox six miles away) has shops, two pubs and many places to eat and snack as well as many take aways. Holyhead (appox nine miles) has all the main supermarkets and more.

Borth wen has a small beach and church bay has a large beach, car park, toilets and café. The lobster pot restaurant famous for its crab and lobster dishes is situated in this location. All the attractions of Anglesey are within easy driving distance with 125 miles of unspoilt coastline, tourist attractions, good food, golf, fishing, bird-watching, horse riding, small racing track, boat trips - including day trips by fast ferry to Dublin from Holyhead and a whole lot more. There are many holiday activities as well as historical site-seeing and walking both on and off the island, with all the relevant brochures to hand and the internet it gives a broad view to enable visitors to search Anglesey and to plan ahead for their holiday.

On the first floor there are three bedrooms (1) large double with door to balcony with small table and two chairs (2) a twin bedded room (3) a double bedded room - all bedrooms have sea views. A bathroom with w.c. w.h.b. and shower. A large landing with rural views.

The ground floor has a 3-piece bathroom with shower over bath. Utility room with washing machine and exit door to garden. Kitchen with electric oven and separate hob, microwave, small fridge and freezer and a small table and two chairs suitable for children and snacking. There is ample crockery, cutlery, utensils and pans. A 20 x 15 ft dining lounge with table and six chairs, comfortable 3-piece suite, log burner and T.V. Stairs to upper floor. Sun lounge 27 x 15 ft. with ample seating and a comfortable leather suite and excellent sea views. Also a small entrance porch and ample parking both sides of the property. A cobbled driveway and a side lawned area. The property is gated on both sides for extra security.

This property is set within a working dairy farm and is accessed via a single track farm lane which is used by the farmer and his cattle.

Pets allowed - only one small dog (10 Kilos). No pets above 10 Kilos.

Great summmer holiday

What a lovely property in an equally lovely area . Quiet peaceful situation , with amazing sea view from huge sun lounge window . Birds of prey to be observed using binoculars and cows in close by fields . Plenty of space with comfortable furniture to relax , in both rooms downstairs , with a large dining table , great for meals and family playing cards and board games . Beaches a short drive away and easy route to Holyhead for interesting walks including the mountain, and with a choice of supermarkets at the retail park . Great holiday enjoyed by all including the grandchildren , in a very well equipped house owned by an extremely helpful lady. We can recommend to anyone.

Lovely cottage with everything you need to enjoy a comfortable holiday. Great location for exploring Anglesey. Peace and quiet, beautiful sea views with nearby beaches just a short walk or drive. We really enjoyed our stay and didn't want to leave. Highly recommended.

We love angelsey and this place was fantastic, the home comforts you need plenty of space for us all and the views were amazing! Was great to come in from the wet and cold to have the fire roarinh ti warm up.
