Leave ReviewPeaceful and relaxing
By Carol on 16-Jul-2025I stayed here for a few weeks. It was the perfect place to wind down after a stressful period. The private garden, complete with birds and squirrels, is a rare luxury in todays busy world. The surrounding countryside is wonderful, with mature indigenous trees, horses and even llamas to be seen in the fields round about. The beach is a two minute walk, with views across to the mainland. The cabin is small but perfectly formed, and the deck is large enough to do tai chi. Debbie and Steve are perfect hosts, they made sure I had everything I needed without encroaching on my privacy. I can recommend this holiday for those who want peace and quiet in a natural environment
Peaceful secluded place to stay
By Les and Viv Heard on 24-Sep-2025The lodge was comfortable and well equipped and the garden private and secluded with plenty of outdoor seating. It was lovely watching the birds and red squirrels.
Enjoyable holiday
By M hunt gillingham Dorset on 07-Apr-2025Our hosts met us on arrival.very friendly showed us our lodge very compact but everything there the best bit was having breakfast out side on patio beautiful outside furniture our golden retriever loved it we saw a red squirrel one morning whilst having breakfast very quiet location and only 5 minutes walk from beach .
Small but perfectly formed
By on 16-Jun-2019Lovely private hide-away with amazing wildlife in a secluded garden (secure enough for your own dog too). The owners very kindly kept the bird feeders topped up through the week and we saw 17 different types of birds - two red squirrels also visited every day. The beach is just a two minute stroll away - a little sand but a lot of shells and perfect for watching the boats on the Solent. The cabin is lovely and clean with everything you need and comfortable garden furniture. There is a barbeque too but sadly the weather didn't perform for us this week, so we didn't get to test drive this. Perfect accommodation for two people.
Beautifully positioned log cabin, very well equipped with a lovely private garden
By on 28-Aug-2018This was our second stay and it was every bit as enjoyable as our first. The cabin is small put perfectly formed with a spacious shower room, lounge/kitchen and a twin bedroom. The Kitchen is very well equipped and everything has been well thought out , well presented and clean. The garden is lovely and frequented by lots of English garden birds ( robins, blue tits etc ) and the naughty red squirrels who steal their nuts. The beach is a short walk from the property , although it’s not a huge sandy beach it is full of shells and nice and clean. Huge ocean liners can be observed leaving Southampton for foreign shores ( times are listed so you can go down to watch them ). There are plenty of supermarkets , large and small nearby, and all the varied attractions of this holiday Island. We chose it because it welcomes dogs and it was our first holiday outing with our 20 month old dogs, unfortunately they got a bit overwhelmed with the whole “ holiday experience” and we were lucky we’d booked here as we could just chill around the garden with them , which we did. I really don’t want to tell the world about this hidden gem, because I love it , and as it’s pretty unique it gets booked up but in all fairness I have to say it’s lovely and if you do decide to stay you’ll really have a get holiday. They also have a slightly larger cabin next door for families , but just the two, this is a small family run business and all the better for it.
Just perfect in every way
By on 12-Sep-2017Wow is the first thing that came to mind as soon as we saw where we were staying . A perfect retreat away from it all with the fab beach a very short walk away what more could we want. Garden wonderful with all its wild life the red squirrels very entertaining. The cabin was so cute and was wonderful to arrive to tea coffee or hot chocolate with cookies plus a pint of milk in the fridge so considerate. Debbie so welcoming sadly didn't meet Steve he was on grandad duty. The cabin is a perfect hide away with all you need in it the garden was great too . Thanks for a wonderful stay if we visit the Isle of Wight again we will only ever stay with you xxx
