Description

Our old stone buildings have been expertly transformed into 7 delightful holiday cottages, each for just 2 people, in our haven of peace and tranquility. Our no children policy keeps the level of noise to the gentle clinking of glasses and after lunch snoring. A large pool of 14x7m, solar heated and well maintained, and wonderful, far reaching views completes our paradise.
Each cottage sleeps 2 with large, comfortable beds and the choice of a shower room or bathroom or both. Fully equipped kitchens include dishwashers and washing machines, and plenty of pretty crockery, pots and pans. Oh, and glasses.
Garden table and chairs, 2 sun beds and a gas BBQ outside each cottage, with plenty of sun beds around the pool. The pool house houses table and chairs enough for everyone, for the occasional get togethers that just happen. The pool has solar heating, and a great view.
Shaded parking.
The beautiful medieval town of Issigeac is only 4Km away, with great restaurants, a not to be missed market and essential shops. Further afield, through the vineyards, are chateaux, historic bastide towns and wonderful countryside to visit. All, of course, if you can tear yourself away from the pool.

This place is a tiny bit of heaven

By Claire & David on 03-Aug-2025

Our first stay at Fumel, it definitely won't be our last. This place is a tiny bit of heaven. So well organised, the gite is well equipped and incredibly comfortable. The whole setting is stunning. As we were only here for a week our focus was relaxing - this is the perfect place for that! The pool and grounds are so well maintained (thank you Steve) its so beautiful. Thank you for welcoming us Bunty - we had a wonderful time.

A return to Fumel after 14 years

By Val & Ian Rankin on 14-Jul-2025

A return to Fumel after 14 years and it is every bit as good as we remembered. Enjoyed spending time with other guests. The weather has been amazing - some days too hot so thank goodness for the pool! We enjoyed visiting local villages - Monpazier, Castillonnes, & Limeuil, but Monflanquin was a favourite. We had a fantastic meal at L'Atelier in Issigeac - def worth a visit. La Bruceliere was also good but service was slow, but worth a visit if you are not in a rush. Fumel is a perfect place for a holiday, Bunty has thought of everything & Steve and the girls have the grounds and gite s looking immaculate. What a team! A big thank you to all and we will be back for longer next time!

3rd time here

By John & Jacqui Davies on 17-Sep-2025

We have stayed 10 days on this, our third visit. Mixed weather but still had a wonderful stay. Aperos great fun, walks lovely. But it's all about THE PLACE. Bunty (& Dave of course) and Steve do an amazing job at making everything seem so effortless. It really is a credit to them that people keep coming back.

Another fantastic holiday

By Linda & Richard on 30-Jul-2025

another fantastic holiday in our favourite place. As ever, everything was perfect, except the weather, the one thing Bunty can't control! Lots of lovely meals out, great company, lots of laughter, not to mention lots of wine consumed. Thank you to Bunty, Steve, Danni & her girls, you make this place so special. See you all next year.

Perfect place

By Harriet & John Jeaffreson on 14-Jul-2023

well, what can I say but a perfect place for a switch off. Peaceful and relaxing with the forced digital de-tox. The food in Issigeac is all fab and the vieyards are even better! hic, hic, hic... We love th early evening get togethers by the pool, it was an unexpected pleasure. We did a few days out, (Bergerac, Cahor, + local villages) but spent most of the time by the pool/ What a joy with no screaming brats!
