Leave ReviewLovely cottage in a beautiful location.
By SusannM on 22-Oct-2025Lovely cottage in a beautiful rural location. Cottage was spotless, comfortable and well equipped. A supply of logs for the wood burner, eggs, coffee, tea, milk and sugar was provided. Great walks from the house including a farm walk. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Thank you, we had a brilliant stay.
Hidden spot in beautiful valley
By Jan-Tinne on 22-Sep-2025This is truely one of the most beautiful places in the UK. We fully enjoyed the tranquility, the stunning scenery... The farm is also well equiped to keep children/teenagers active with well maintained material (football goals, tennis, ...). The cottage is very clean. The walks from the farm are amazing. Stunning views! Being able to start such beautiful walks directly from your holiday cottage is a big plus, something we really appreciated. In addition, this was the first holiday cottage we ever stayed with that much and well described information about walks, recommandations, etc. . It gave our holiday a bonus. Winter family break and hill walk
By S4479cfPhillipW on 05-Jan-2025Winter family break and hill walk We had a lovely family winter break at Fornside for New Year 2025. Just the break we needed. Lovely base for walks when the weather was good, including an adventurous one along the ridge to Helvellyn starting from our front door at Fornside. Being close to Keswick, we also had a trip to the theatre and a look at the Christmas lights along the main street. Cottage was to a high standard with under floor heating and a log burner, perfect for a winter trip. The boys enjoyed exploring the grounds. Full range of facilities available. We will go again
