Lake District 2 bedroom self catering cottage in Keswick, for up to 4 people.A traditional slate Lake District cottage, located in a quiet residential area, only a few minutes level walk to Keswick town centre.
A spacious and well maintained property, the cottage provides airy, well-equipped accommodation in an ideal location to explore the Lake District and all it has to offer.
The cottage is owner maintained and has been been decorated and furnished tastefully and thoughtfully to provide a property offering clean, warm and comfortable accommodation to a high standard.
The cottage comprises of an open plan, lounge with bay fronted window and stone crafted fire place, dining room and fully fitted kitchen on the ground floor. A large king size bedroom, a twin room and family bathroom with bath/shower on the first floor.
Adjacent to the kitchen there is a conservatory offering secure cycle storage and drying area for those muddy boots and wet clothes.
Parking is on street in front of the property, it is free and unrestricted.
Felltop Cottage is an ideal base with Derwentwater Lake shore and Borrowdale only 10 minutes walk away, and easy access to the surrounding fells, lakes towns and villages.

By Ewa on 17-Jun-2024Location, walking distance to town and everything easily accessible. Lots of nice walks around and hardly had to use the car. The house is big and spacious, clean and nicely decorated. Lots of storage space and nice big fridge freezer (if you are staying for longer). Washing machine was a huge bonus. Dog friendly. Overall very good value for money and would be very happy to stay again.
Lovely and Comfortable House
By Douglas on 22-Mar-2025The house was very central, yet quiet, close to all the amenities of Keswick. We stayed for a weeks hiking, there is a handy porch at the rear for storing all your walking Kit. The house was nicely decorated and spotless, Kitchen was new and well equipped, also had a Smart tv in living room if you cant live without your streaming channels :) The host Terresa was very prompt with her communications and made herself available if you needed anything which we didn't. I will certainly stay here again & would highly recommend the property.

By Amrei K on 02-Dec-2025Book this! It's perfect! + The house, the location, the comfort, the provided utilities, the attention to detail. (We had a lovely decorated Christmas tree!) Honestly everything. A true home away from home that we looked forward to spending a lazy morning in and returning to everyday. I'm sad we stayed merely a week. Everything you need is provided, and what isn't is clearly communicated in advance, so you don't stumble into panicked shopping trips. The house, its lockbox and parking options are easy to find, and you're only a short walk away from everything you need. Take a few steps out of the house and you have a beautiful view. As many before me, I would like to highlight the mudroom and laundry equipment as well as provided entertainment. They were truly appreciated after a night walk along the Cumbria Way and a rainy trip to Latrigg in a poor choice of boots. Hang your things in the mudroom, go take a shower and put on your favourite comfort wear, then get some tea and watch a dvd on one of the comfiest couches I've ever sat down on. Or read, play board games, enjoy some radio, cook a lovely meal with whoever you're there with (yes, everything was clean and the knives were sharp!). I could go on forever. Do yourself a favour and book this house. And to our hosts: thank you very much for offering this lovely accommodation. -
