Description
Please contact us for last minute and low season deals.Sleeps 4 in a 2 king sized beds, one can split into 2 singles if required, linen is included. The family bathroom is on the first floor and is fitted with a bath with a thermostatic shower over but please bring your own towels. The kitchen on the ground floor is fully equipped with utensils, hob, toaster, microwave and Tassimo coffee machine. There is also a utility room with a fridge freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. There are river views from the open plan living and dining room, which is equipped with a smart TV . Both bedrooms have river views, the top floor bedroom also has views over the marina. Both the dining and garden table have seating for 4. The garden is directly opposite the house across the path and has uninterrupted views of the Dart. Short breaks are welcome outside high season, NHS discount is also available during low season. Parking is a very short walk from the cottage in the Dart Marina Car Park (chargeable). Some street parking may also be available. One small dog is welcome at an extra charge. The Kingswear ferry slip is moments from the cottage where you can catch the regular ferry to Dartmouth. Dartmouth has a wealth of restaurants, independent shops and boutiques, there are also high-street shops such as White Stuff, Fat Face and Joules. You can also take the short walk to English Heritage's Dartmouth Castle. The ferry also caries vehicles and from Dartmouth you can visit the stunning sands at Blackpool and Slapton, or a little further afield is the pretty estuary town of Salcombe a 30-40 minute drive. A boat trip or heritage steam train will take you to Totnes or Paignton. From the cottage there is instant access to coastal walks and you can also visit the quaint National Trust house Coleton Fishacre and Greenway, home of Agatha Christie. There are opportunities to hire canoes, stand-up paddle boards & kayaks and enjoy some time on the river. We also have superfast broadband and WiFi throughout the cottage. There are steps to access the property and stairs to both bedrooms/bathroom so the cottage is not suitable for guests with mobility issues.
