Walkable to village location, La Grange is situated at the end of a country lane, and is surrounded by open countryside but is just a short 10 minute walk into the local village of Lacapelle Marival, with its local amenities and weekly local produce and artisan markets. Converted to a superior standard, it sleeps up to 7 people.
Maintained to a very high standard, our flagship property remains the most requested holiday accommodation and offers a unique, friendly and relaxing holiday experience in this un-spoilt corner of South West France.On the edge of the picturesque village of Lacapelle Marival, (host to 2022 Tour de France) La Grange is just a short walk from all local amenities. The local shops, including boulangery, farmers produce shop, butcher, post office, pharmacy, small grocery store, newsagent, supermarket, banks and restaurants are all within easy reach, plus weekly local produce and artisan markets. A short drive away is the medieval town of Figeac with its bustling Saturday market is a must for any visitor to the area, with many delightful shops cafes and restaurants. Very easy access to many tourist spots, activities and places of interest, eg. Rocamadour, Gouffre de Padirac, Cahors, St Cirq-Lapopie and the prehistoric caves at Pech Merle to name just a few. An ideal base for visiting the Lot, Dordogne and Célé river valleys for a choice of many outdoor activities, such as canoeing, fishing, hiking etc.
There is so much to see and do in this magical area of South West France, making it a perfect family holiday destination. During the summer months, you can enjoy the many music festivals, especially the popular Jazz festival around the region.

The Perfect Gite
By David Rosevear on 26-Jul-2025A excellent gite in a beautiful area of France, with lots of places to visit - our family cannot find fault with our stay at La Grange. Firstly, the hosts are very friendly and try to make your stay as stress free as possible - from booking through to the stay at the gite. Secondly, the gite is extremely clean, very comfortable and excellently equipped. We love the big airy space and lots of different areas of property, particularly the outdoor balcony for meals in the shade.Thirdly, the large pool is incredible - crystal clear and perfectly sited next to the gite. Lastly, we particularly loved the gym which is a rare find in most gites - our grown-up children loved this and we particularly enjoyed doing some daily keep fit. Richard and Sally invited us to join in with some of their kettle bell and gym workouts which were fabulous. After 20 years of visiting France, I cannot imagine not coming back to La Grange. A real gem ????
Simply Perfect
By Philippa Bull-Diamond on 10-Aug-2024La Grange is probably one of the best Gites is south west France We have been four times we love it that much - the biggest cleanest pool no chemicals - so perfect for endless pool days - multiple dining areas to eat either in the shade or the sun. Comfortable beds - great bathrooms - fully equipped kitchen - WiFi (yes in rural France) The double height living space means that it’s really cool even in those hot summer days. The hosts having lived in the area are able to share all the local places to go and nothing is too much trouble when you are there - the perfect hosts ! Could not recommend this gite any higher - Philippa
What a Fantastic Place

Situated in the beautiful village of Lacapelle Marival, La Grange is located in a wonderfully scenic and secluded part of the village, with no light pollution and amazing ‘dark skies’. Only a 10min walk into the village centre or 3min drive. From the moment we arrived, Sally and Richard were there to give us a warm welcome, having used HSWF before we knew we were in safe hands. La Grange is extremely well appointed, a lovely airy space with top notch facilities, and its much much bigger than shown in the photos. Attention to detail was second to none, fully equipped with everything you would need for your stay. A super welcome pack and even water beside each bed on arrival. As it’s such a big part of modern life now, the property has fast and reliable Wi-Fi which reaches everywhere in the property and all the way out to the outside areas. As a group of 6 there was more than enough space for us all to really relax either out on the upper terrace, sat in a hammock, or out by the pool. The pool really is the jewel in the crown, its huge!! and by far the best maintained pool we've ever had in our many years of holidaying in the South of France. With the orientation of the pool and property you get sunshine all day and stunning sunsets each evening. Sally and Richard are also such amazing hosts, if you need any information on places to visit, local activities and sports (kayaking on the Dordogne is fantastic), the best bread nearby or the best restaurants off the beaten track, then they're your go to!! Thank you both for making our stay at La Grange so special, we cannot recommend a stay here highly enough.
