We have two holiday lodges on this impressive family run site in the Vendee; No 119 and No 126.

Please note that these properties are only available for weekly hire, Saturday to Saturday. Check-in time is from 15:00 to 19:00 on the Saturday of arrival and Check-out time is 10:00 on the day of departure.

No 126, which is a modern 2 bedroom holiday lodge, has a large terrace decking that will be partly covered and is in close proximity to the magnificent Lac du Jaunay. The master bedroom has a 5ft double bed and an en suite shower and toilet. The second bedroom has two 3ft single beds and is adjacent to the family bathroom which has a large shower. The lodge style property meets the highest standards of construction and has a full inventory that will ensure that you have all you need for a holiday to remember.

The lodge has a raised resin planked terrace so you can make the most of the outdoor area with a patio table, chairs, parasol and sun-loungers. The lodge is in a raised, terraced, position close to the lake and is in a very sunny and quiet position. You can watch the sun go down with a glass of your favourite wine in your hand. Part of the terrace is covered to provide shade and to extend the time you can spend outdoors in the wonderful warm and sunny climate the Vendee has to offer. There is room for car parking at the side of the mobile homes. We do not supply a bbq, however you can hire one from reception for a few euros. Please note that bbq's other than those that are gas fuelled are not permitted on the decking area for safety reasons.

We supply pillows and quilts; however, you will need to take your own bed linen and towels, including tea towels and beach towels.

The lodge is not suitable or available for pets.

Easily accessible from the north-west ferry ports of France and close to the airports of Nantes and La Rochelle, our lodge is situated on a quiet part of the campsite away from the bar and pool areas to ensure you and your family get a good nights’ sleep whilst at the same time the facilities are only a short walk away.

There is direct access to the lakeside walks just 50 metres from the lodge. The lake is renowned for its carp fishing and canoes and pedalos can be hired locally. There are several first class golf courses within easy reach (with the nearest being just 15 minutes away and the nearest sandy beaches are just 20 minutes away. The site has numerous amenities including a large outdoor pool and a new indoor pool complex, mini golf, volleyball, table tennis, petanque and a children’s play areas are all available. There is a comfortable bar and a terrace area where light meals can be ordered. The pizzas are renowned and can be eaten in or taken away.

Kitchen and dining
The kitchen area has a dishwasher, fridge-freezer, oven, grill, 4 ring gas hob, microwave oven, kettle, toaster and quality fixtures and fittings to meet all your needs. The dining area has a table and 4 comfortable chairs. In addition, you can dine outside under cover or under the stars on separate patio furniture.

Please note that we do not provide tea towels or napkins.

Living room
The very comfortable living room, is well equipped with a large 3-seat settee, an armchair and an occasional table. There is a 42" television with a separate DVD player. There is a UK Freeview satellite tv receiver and a splitter to send the satellite signals to the television in the master bedroom. There is a wall mounted flame effect electric fire with an inbuilt fan heater for local heating in the early and late season. The lounge area has twin opening patio doors on to the decking areas. This patio door has a sliding mesh door to keep any unwanted insects at bay.
The master bedroom has a 5ft double bed with a luxury topper and has good wardrobe and drawer space. In addition, there are bedside cabinets and bedside lights. There is more storage space under the bed. The bedroom and the en suite bathroom windows are both fitted with roller mesh fly screens for added comfort and ventilation. The master bedroom has a fitted 32" television with an integrated dvd player. The 2nd bedroom has two 3 ft beds and also has good storage facilities. The 2nd bedroom also has fitted fly screens.

We do not provide bed linen, bath mats and towels. Quilts, blankets and pillows are provided.

The master bedroom has an en suite shower, wash-hand basin and toilet. The main bathroom which is between the two bedrooms for comfort and quietness, has a large walk-in shower, wash-hand basin and toilet. Both bathrooms have extractor fans, heated towel rails and storage cabinets.

Hot water radiator central heating is provided throughout through a combi boiler.
Two gas cylinders are located close to the home and will be replaced, as required, by the Park Management.

The Park Management provides late afternoon and evening entertainment in the high season. There is a bar and restaurant with takeaway facilities. There is both an outdoor pool with large water slides and a heated indoor swimming pools. There are also a children’s play area, table tennis tables, mini golf, volley ball and petanque pitches.

Canoes and pedallos are available locally to hire for use on the lake.

Garden and outside
There is a large, raised decking area that offers both sun and shade at all times of the day. The covered patio area extends the time outdoors to allow al-fresco dining into the evening.
Parking and garages
Car parking is available alongside the home. There are restricted hours when cars can be driven on site to ensure peace is preserved.
Addition visitors in cars may have to park at the reception area but there is often spare space close to the lodge which can be used with the agreement of the Park Management.

Good House Keeping Bond
If you book our lodge, the Park Owners require that we ask you for a refundable Good House Keeping Bond of £50 for your stay. The Park Team will clean the lodge before your arrival and at the end of your holiday, they will expect the lodge to be left in a clean, tidy and undamaged condition. If this is the case, the Good House Keeping Bond will be refunded, however, you will be responsible for any loss or damage that might occur during your stay. The Park Management reserves the right to enter your accommodation under special circumstances or emergencies

•The Park Management happily welcome babies however, it should be noted that cots and other specialised baby equipment are not provided in the lodge and are not available for hire locally.
.•The Park Team prepare lodges for occupation prior to visitor’s arrival. Visitor’s are expected to carry out end of stay cleaning to leave the Lodges homes in the same clean and tidy condition that they found them in.
•There is an outdoor swimming pool and splash pool. The outdoor pool has 2 large slides.
•There is a heated indoor pool and splash pool. Please note that in accordance with French Law, swimming shorts are not permitted in the pool and close fitting swimming trunks must be worn.
•Smoking is not permitted in the mobile home or on the wooden decking and visitors must be aware that as the homes are situated in wooded areas, there is a high risk of fire from cigarette smoking.
The Site Management clearly indicate other areas where smoking is not permitted in accordance with French Law
•Free Wi-fi is available in the Bar/Bistro. There is no wi-fi facility in the mobile homes.
•Gas barbecues are available for hire from the bar. Charcoal barbecues, including disposable charcoal barbecues, are not permitted on the site. Personal gas or electric barbecues may be used.

•Family entertainment and games. There are facilities for: Table tennis; petanque; pool/snooker; mini-golf, beach volleyball. Equipment is available at the bar.
•Fishing is available on the lake which is renowned for its large carp. Enquire at the bar for licences.
•Canoes and Pedalos are available for hire on the lake. Petrol or diesel engines are not permitted on the lake. Swimming is not permitted on the lake. If you bring your own boat, only electric outboards are permitted as the lake is also a reservoir.

Local Attractions and Activities
There are many highly rated sandy beaches are within easy reach with the nearest beach being just 8k away.. Surfing schools, wind-surfing schools, kayaking and sailing are all available in the local area.

Cycling facilities are excellent with miles of dedicated cycle routes in the local area.

There is fishing on the Lac du Jaunay from boat or bank. It is known to be home to monster carp.

There are very good Golf courses at Les Fontenelles, La Domangere, Port Bougenay, Golf d’Olonne and St Jean de Monts (a links style course). The first three are part of the Blue-Green Golf Group and discounted green fees are often available on their web site.

Saint Gilles Croix de Vie
The nearest town of any significant size is Saint Gilles Croix de Vie which is a typical French seaside resort. A fishing port famous for its sardines, with its marina in the heart of the town, Saint Gilles Croix de Vie has kept the charm and authenticity of a fishing village. It is the nearest significant town to Lac du Jaunay. It is appreciated for its lifestyle, its water sports, its superb beaches to the south, its rocky coastline to the north and for its entertainment and restaurant facilities. It has always been an ideal place to visit. Try the restaurant dedicated to various styles of mussels close to the rail station. The Le Clerc Hypermarket on the edge of the town is the biggest and best in the area.

Les Sables d’Olonne
Known as the capital of the Lumière coast (Coast of Light), the seaside resort of Les Sables-d'Olonne which is south west of Lac du Jaunay is a renowned destination presenting numerous attractions: a bustling seafront promenade lined with shops and cafés, a beautiful 3-kilometre long sandy beach that is very popular with summer tourists, a large marina, numerous events and sports activities, a casino and a thalassotherapy centre. Every four years, the seaside resort of Les Sables-d'Olonne hosts the departure of the Vendee Globe, the famous single-handed, round-the-world yacht race sailed non-stop and without assistance.
Between here and St Gilles Croix de Vie are miles of sandy beaches together with cycle tracks and walks through pine forests that are all waiting to be explored.

La Rochelle
Soak up the history of this wonderful town and seaside resort. Pick up a guide at the Information Office and walk around the Old Port with its famous Towers of La Rochelle, and the magnificent Town Hall, take in the heritage of this 1000 year old town with its arcades, colonnades, churches, temples and parks. Close by is the Ile de Re which is well worth a visit on its own.

Other Attractions
Puy du Fou is a historical theme park in Les Epesses in the heart of the Vendée region of Western France. It provides a wonderful day out for all the family and is an experience not to be missed on your holiday.

On the D949 between Lucon and Les Sable d'Olonne, a floral and tropical park invites you, from springtime to autumn, to a world tour of exotic botanical heritage. From July onwards you can see the floral spectacle of the lake covered with lotus flowers from Asia; this is the only park of its kind in Europe.
