Description

ALERT: Special offer for May and June 2022 : £200 discount per week !

This charming villa is only 5 minutes walk from the traditionally French village centre, on the outskirts of Montpellier, with its ancient church and delightful river walks. It's only 10 mins by car to the beautiful historic centre of Montpellier. Access to the house is via a short private drive into the pleasantly landscaped grounds.

It is very generously laid out with spacious lounges, terraces to the front garden and cool terraces in the back. The large, rambling and secluded garden with its own generous pool, terraces and barbecue area has been landscaped to preserve the natural beauty of the original Languedocian Garrigue. Garden furniture around the pool and patios, and a large outdoor barbecue provide an inviting opportunity to relax late into the warm summer nights.

The interior of the house is tastefully furnished with a spacious living room with large screen LED 3D TV; second spacious living room with French door to the back terrace, and windows overlooking the back garden; dining room with French doors to the shaded back terrace; fully equipped kitchen with induction hob, electric oven, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher.

There are 5 comfortable bedrooms, 1 with double beds, 3 with King size beds, 1 with a full-size double bunk bed for 2, adults or children. One of the upstairs bedrooms has its own balcony; there is also a study with a sofa bed for 1 or 2, leading onto the front terrace; 3 bathrooms, separate WC; the basement is spacious with provision for up to two cars. It also has a laundry area with a washing machine and drier, and an additional fridge/freezer. There is also a play area in the basement with a table tennis table, and various weights equipment.

Prices are given in the prices table on a weekly basis throughout the year.
30% deposit to secure booking. Damage deposit of £350 and rest of payment 6 weeks before the holiday.
Please note electricity will be charged according to your usage, to save energy and also to avoid heavy bills by over-usage. In the peak season these costs are anyway small, around £45.

Grabels is also know of being part of the Camino de Santiago, also known as the Way of St. James (Jakobsweg), extending from different countries of Europe, and even North Africa, on its way to Santiago de Compostela.
The route through Grabels is picked up from Arles via Montpellier and leads via the Pont du Diable to St Guilhem-le-Desert and beyond towards Montarnaud.
If you walk some (even small) distance from Grabels you can obtain the famous pilgrim stamp in the church of Grabels as proof of having joined the route.

Everlasting Memories

By Bull/Washle on 31-Jul-2021

On our long 15 hour car journey to the Villa we was asked by one of the boys; what is a childhood memory? Well this holiday summed this up for us! Hours splashed away in the pool with favorite games like Marco polo and water polo being amongst our favorites. We had amazing days out, visiting the port/fishing town of Montpellier, to go-karting , canoe rapids and Sete beach; not to forget the endless trips to supermarkets for french sticks, all sorts of cheese, fresh fish and salads. We have been so well fed and watered, it will feel strange not having a beer or a G&T for a midday refreshment. ( opps nearly forgot the amazing trip to a local vineyard aswell!). After the previous years covid has made us endured, we are so grateful and thankful for our trip here. The villa smashed all of our expectations out of the park and we are leaving here feeling lucky and privilege to have this in our memory bank. Thank you for having us! Ps - its safe to says the boys now know the meaning of a childhood memory and best of all, they have experienced one to keep forever! X

Villa des Cigales, Grabels

By Steve Worboys on 05-Dec-2018

Date of Stay 11 Aug 2012 Helpful votes: 3/0 "Our holidays in Villa des Cigales, 11th-25th August 2012 We all arrived on the 11th August, after a very very long journey. We all thought that the villa was lovely, with plenty of room for everyone. It`s been very hot each day. We will all be leaving with a good tan! The children have really enjoyed their time in the pool. After two weeks we will be returning home, but wont forget our lovely time here. We had a lovely holiday enjoying our time playing in the pool, canoeing 12km, the wonderful beaches and especially the village fete, including entertainment such as the bulls. The weather has been brilliant and we dont want to go home" Steve and Sallie, Clodie, Cleo, Chad, Ross, Rory in Bedforshire, UK Recommended for: Families with Young Children, Adventure Seekers, Families with Teenagers. My Response Hi Steve and Sally, It is guests like you and your friends who make it so worthwhile to do our best to prepare the villa for a truly memorable holiday. You clearly made the most of your time and enjoyed all the facilities to the full, exploring the surroundings and special events which were taking place. We do hope we can welcome you back one of these days to another family holiday. Our very best wishes, John and Christina

What a beautiful and well equipped villa.

By Janina Phillips on 25-Aug-2018

What a beautiful and well equipped villa. This has been an ideal holiday and situation for our coss generation holiday. Restaurants were a bit tricky to find until we used our Sat Nav and the Clos des Oliviers in the next village, St Gely du Fesc came up trumps for a celebration or our son in Law's birthday. Visits to The Grotte de Clamouse,St Guihelm- le- Desert, Sete and Montpellier were highlights of our visit. We are looking forward to returning this summer. The Phillips and Helm Families London Uk
