Number 6A Pitlethie Steading is a charming and comfortable, luxury holiday home. An ideal golfing retreat.The house is immaculately presented offering bright spacious living accommodation with 2 comfortable double bedrooms (one with a double bed and the other has twin beds).
The property offers beautiful views of open countryside and overlooks Tentsmuir Forest and nature reserve, an ideal place to enjoy walking, horse riding and cycling. The forest is bordered by many miles of white sands of Kinshaldy beach. Surrounding the steading, if you are lucky, you may see deer in the nearby field, pheasants, foxes and believe it or not, peacocks from next door Pitlethie House gardens.
St. Andrews lies 5 miles away and offers many activities such as world famous golf courses, a castle, a cathedral, museums, ghost tours as well as fine dining and plentiful shopping opportunities. Further round the coast, the East Neuk of Fife is a delight to visit with charming and picturesque fishing villages such as Crail, St. Monans, Elie and Pittenweem.

By Angela Jagger on 28-Mar-2025This is a super comfortable, well maintained property in a rural setting with lovely walks, outdoor and indoor eating establishments but only 15 minutes from the centre of St Andrews with its numerous golf courses and the "blown away" water sports activities. We have stayed here numerous times and would recommend it without hesitation.

A lovely break in Fife
By Jane and Mike Cronin on 21-Mar-2025We thoroughly recommend this lovely home, perfect for an adult getaway but full of gorgeous detail for younger guests to discover! (Our granddaughter was fascinated by the little animals). Everything in the house has been so carefully considered, and the countryside views are such a treat for us 'townies'. Great home in a very handy location. We'll be back soon!

A great place to stay.

From the welcome pack on arrival, which was a pleasant surprise, to having everything supplied within the cottages furnishings and fittings, this made for a very comfortable stay. Nothing was too much trouble for Jim and he went out of his way to ensure that everything was as it should be. Cannot recommend this property highly enough and hope to return in the near future.

Perfect Location
By Christine and Susan on 01-Oct-2022Great place to stay for access to St Andrews area and the East Neuk, as well as over the Tay Bridge to Angus. As golfers plenty of courses in easy reach. The property was very comfortable and a home from home. Would definitely visit again.

The house itself was perfectly clean, presented to a very high standard and Jim was great at making sure everything went smoothly in the lead up to our stay, including the "welcoming hamper" that we greatly appreciated. Highly recommend this place for staying if you are playing golf in St Andrews as it is a very relaxing house to come back to. By far one of the best properties I have stayed in recently.
