Description

Morolwg is a newly refurbished coastal house on the edge of Snowdonia with all main rooms having spectacular views of sea and mountains. It lies on the coast road between Barmouth and Harlech overlooking the quiet sandy beach of Llanaber with it’s rock pools—-a big favourite with the children.
The house itself sleeps up to 6.
Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms with king size beds and 1 bedroom with 2 single beds that can convert to a 3rd king size. A bathroom with bath, vanity, W.C., and walk-in shower; and a shower room with vanity, W.C., and walk-in shower complete the upstairs. Downstairs a large lobby leads to a hall off which run a cloakroom with vanity and a 3rd W.C.; a lounge/dining room; and a kitchen.
The lounge/dining room has a log burner (with some logs provided), smart TV and DVD player. At the other end a feature turret bay allows you to take in the view perhaps with a glass of wine. Patio doors give way to a large decking area overlooking the sea.
The kitchen with its ample cupboards and granite worktops is fully equipped including double oven, a large hob, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, air fryer, and coffee machine. It leads out to a courtyard and a utility, a refurbished out building with sink, washing machine, dryer and fridge/freezer.
Outside there are gardens to the front and rear; a decking area with garden furniture for dining and relaxing; a secluded courtyard with more garden furniture; and off road parking for 3-4 cars.
Morolwg suits most holidaymakers, energetic or not. Whatever your taste you can find it nearby. Bars, pubs and restaurants can be found in nearby Barmouth, Llanaber itself and neighbouring villages. Amusements in Barmouth; sandy beaches; historic sites such as Harlech Castle; other interesting sites such as Port Meirion; sporting activities such as walking, cycling, golf; adventure sites offering eg zip wires are all readily accessible. Or maybe you would just like to relax on the decking or in the garden or in the courtyard in the summer or perhaps in front of the log burner and TV in the winter with a drink—-or two!
We are sorry but we do not cater for children under 5 years nor pets.
There is a 3 night minimum stay with price per night of £120 (low season) and £200 (high season)
All linen except beach towels is provided.

A Wonderful place to stay

By Sarah and Andrew on 31-Aug-2022

We had the most amazing time staying at Morolwg , the views inside the house and the decking were stunning. The house was lovely and clean and had everything we needed. The owners were very helpful and genuinely lovely people. We would highly recommend staying here and hope to return one day

Superb, a great place to stay.

By The Haybittle’s on 08-Aug-2022

Morolwg is a modern well equipped house right on the edge of Cardigan Bay and the Snowdonia National Park. Six of us spent 3 happy days here in August including 2 children aged 5 and 8 who had great fun climbing over the rocks via the railway crossing to get to the sandy beach with its rock pools at low tide. Pauline and Mike were very helpful giving us directions to local restaurants and places of interest. We would highly recommend this lovely property in its superb location.
