We are Grade 4* listed with Visit Wales.
Our 200 year old former Cobblers Shop and Smithy, c1780s set within the Ystwyth Valley in the Cambrian Mountains, in a designated Dark Sky's area. The perfect location for a quiet get away, and star gazing, with so many things to do.... Oh, we are also Dog Friendly too and provide dog bowls to your convenience.... or the dogs!

The cottage is open plan with a log burner and electric heating. The Cottage also Crog loft bedroom with exposed beams, with min 6' head room (so watch your head) very romantic and cozy.

The kitchen is well equipped, with everything we could think of to help you prepare a picnic or an evening meal.

We are flexible on length of stays from 2 nights to 14 nights.

WHAT TO DO within 10 miles driving distance:

*A paradise for ramblers, cyclists, walkers with their dogs, and couples who just want to get away from it all

*Plenty of walking trails in the forests around us, plus national cycle ways 81 and 82 on the doorstep. Simply walk out of the door and turn up the tract, to access miles and miles of forest walks, (there are so many walks in the immediate vicinity, we have not done them all!).

*A 9 mile drive to the coastal town of Aberystwyth. With its cosmopolitan selection of bars and restaurants. Arts Centre and National Library of Wales and the Rhidol Steam Train to Devils Bridge.

*With just a short drive to the coast, with its beautiful beaches and fishing villages, Llangranog being a real Smugglers Cove, and Mwnt a National Trust Cove, and many more.

*Visit the Elan Valley and its lakes, on the way there visit The Hafod Estate and its stunning landscaped forest, waterfalls and walks

*Devils Bridge and the Hafod Hotel where they serve beautiful food

The Ffarmers Gastro Pub is a must do for fine dining in Llanfihangel y Creuddyn just 3 miles away or the Talbot in Tregaron also fine dining.

From the South coming from Camarthen area, head towards Tregaron and take the B4340

We live in the cottage next door, we will see you arrive and see you into the cottage and give you the key. Car parking is behind the cottage in the gated yard.
