Superb in every way! Spotlessly clean, well equipped with some lovely personal touches such as the fresh flowers, tea, coffee, fresh milk and Welsh cakes on arrival. It's not often that everything is as advertised and promoted and as seen in the photographs, but our cottage and the venue itself certainly was. An excellent mix of modern and traditional, from the wi fi to the log fire ( smokeless! but with all the evocative log fire aroma) The pool and spa are again exceptionally clean, indoors and warm! The spa is ultra modern, one of the best we've been in. Our dogs loved the place, with space to limber up on site before tackling the beaches and Woodlands. The information pack is brilliant, everything from pubs to how to light the fire. The owners live on site but are not intrusive, yet there if you need help or information. We unreservedly recommend this lovely 3 cottage site.
We stayed for seven days in July 2023. The Old Chapel was pristine, nothing left to chance! Tea, coffee, milk and Welsh cakes too, upon arrival. Impeccable furnishings, tastefully designed, inviting swimming pool and spotless. The owners and quite rightly so, very proud of their renovation work to deliver an outstanding one bedroom holiday cottage. Solvay and St. David's, lovely places. Newgale and Broadhaven beaches simply superb.
A lovely upside down cottage (Old Chapel) to have a week's break. It's been renovated about 10 years ago, and it's been thoughtfully restored. The wood burning stove was ready to go for a chilly November evening and a welcome pack to get you started (which includes homemade welsh cakes, tea bags, coffee, sugar and a pint of locally sourced milk) It has all the mod cons including WI-FI, a real home from home. You are allowed to bring 2 well behaved dogs. The grounds are well kept, with grazing sheep. Hosts are wonderful too.
My wife and I stayed in The Old Chapel and our son stayed in Winterton with his wife and 2 children aged 9 and 7. Both cottages are very well appointed and well prepared. Nicely decorated with lots of homely touches. The swimming pool and hot tub were both excellent and we used them everyday. We didn't use the BBQ hut because of the weather but it looked great and if we come again we will use it. The hut has lots of games, books and DVDs. The cottages are in lovely surroundings, well positioned for beaches, pubs, restaurants and take aways. We would recommend and return. Many thanks
We had a great week in The Old Chapel , one of three cottages at Hendre House. We had everything we needed and more and everything was spotless. The grounds and pool area are lovely spaces and also beautifully kept. It would be ideal for grandparents and families to be together. The surrounding areas are beautiful, countryside and seaside. Solva is 3 miles, an hour's walk on quiet lanes and a well signed footpath. Middle Mill is nearby too and is a pleasant walk. St David's is lovely and the cathedral worth a visit.
