We had a great stay in Herne cottage, the setting is so peaceful. It was lovely to see in an album the renovation journey of the cottages, an amazing achievement. The cottage was sparklingly clean and had everything you could need for your stay. All the products are eco friendly, which is great. The cottage is decorated in a lovely style, befitting the age of the cottage. The outside space is lovely, we enjoyed using the BBQ hut on two occasions. The indoor pool and hot tub were an amazing addition to the facilities and were kept clean and fresh at all times. The inflatables provided were great fun, even for us adults!! We met the hosts on the first day and they were lovely. Would highly recommended a stay at Hendre House Cottages.
Herne cottage is spotlessly clean with everything you could need for a comfortable stay We and our dog loved the peace and quiet. The property is in a good location with many beaches and attractions to keep everyone entertained. I would recommend this cottage if coming to Pembrokeshire. Highlights include St Davids, Preselli Hills, Fishguard old port, Porthgain and walking along the costal path
We stayed in Herne Cottage, one of the 3 available at Hendre House Cottages. It is a delightful cottage out in the countryside; very clean, well equipped & tastefully furnished. It has a small area outside with table/chairs & BBQ, which we put to good use. The owners were very helpful & amenable, with some welcoming Welsh cakes and flowers. There's a hot tub and heated pool available for guest use. It is a 3.5 mile drive to Solva, a small village on the coast with 4 pubs, and you can pick up the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path in either direction from here. The sandy beaches of Newgale, Whitesands and Broadhaven are all within half an hour by car.
We had a wonderful holiday in Hendre Cottage with our teenage grandchildren. The extra indoor and outdoor facilities distinguish these cottages from the normal holiday lets and Michelle and Andy were on site to welcome us and offer any help or advice. The girls used the pool at least once a day and there is so much to do in this lovely part of Pembroke that a second visit is definitely required to fit more in. We would recommend Picton Castle and for fabulous real ice cream Pointz Castle Ice Cream.
Along with friends and our dogs we have just spent a most enjoyable week at this amazing holiday venue. The accommodation is perfect; it has everything you could possibly need and is spotlessly clean and comfortable. The barbecue cabin is excellent and the heated indoor pool and hot tub fantastic. The owners are on hand if you need them. They also kindly provided a very pretty, colourful, contemporary flower arrangement, fresh, locally bottled milk and tasty Welsh cakes. The beautiful Pembrokeshire coast and countryside are easily accessible for great dog walks with dog friendly pubs and cafes. St David’s is close with its cathedral, Thursday market and interesting shops. Highly recommended!
