Leave ReviewFabulously appointed cottage
By Danny and family on 27-Oct-2024We have stayed in the area several times but this was our best location. Fabulously appointed cottage, superb views and incredibly well stocked for all your needs. Loved the vinyl and CD collection. The cottage is beautifully furnished, warm and has super outside space. We will be back.
First visit but certainly not the last
By Tha Hammad Family on 09-Jul-2025This is our first visit and certainly won’t be our last. We had a wonderful time here and enjoyed the lovely view and the board games were lots of fun. Thank you for the kindness and hospitality you have shown us, we will be coming back hopefully very soon.
4th visit to Pen Y Bryn Barn
By Lucy Christley and family on 02-Jul-2025This is our 4th visit to Pen Y Bryn Barn. Again we have had a wonderful time. We have enjoyed stunning walks found in the Llangollen and Dee Valley Walk book. We absolutely love being here, thank you so much, we cannot wait to come back.
Fantastic large & comfortable family house
By Scott McCue on 29-Oct-2025The house is great for a group of friends or family. Simple 5 minute drive from Llangollen. Walkable for adults & older kids. We had very young kids so didn't walk. It's very peaceful and has a great view. A large driveway can fit 4 cars easily. The rooms are all even bigger than the photos show. Fantastic large and well stocked kitchen. Comfortable beds. Highchair and cot for babies. We didn't use the sauna but it looked nice. We did have a play with the basketball net and table tennis, even on a dreary October day, which was fun. The bathrooms were all comfortable and convenient having an ensuite for each bedroom. Note that 2 bedrooms have sloping roofs, although we found this OK once we were used to it. And one bedroom is in a separate part of house from the other 2. This was fine for us but possibly not for a family with several younger kids. We were 4 adults and 2 kids and it was actually good for us so that grandparents got more peace in the morning. By far the most comfortable house I've stayed in when in Llangollen and would highly recommend. The host was very friendly and communication excellent.
