Description
Y Beudy at Wig Farm is full of cosy character and charm. A stone cottage lovingly restored retaining lots of original features and yet very well-equipped for that perfect seaside break. Y Beudy is within walking distance of the stunning Ceredigion Coast path and the pretty cove of Llangrannog. Situated on a 17 acre smallholding the historic cottage is surrounded by stunning peaceful grounds which are an idyllic wildlife haven. There is a network of woodland and coastal paths all around the area which will allow you to explore this stunning unspoilt haven. The cottage has full central heating which can be controlled by guests for their own comfort. It also has a lovely log burning stove for which we provide a generous initial supply of logs, firelighters and kindling. An open plan layout downstairs means you can cook in the well-equipped kitchen whilst enjoying the fire, tv and chatting to the other half! The kitchen is very well-equipped. The lounge has 2 comfy leather couches in front of the log burning stove and a flat screen TV. There is a good Wifi service throughout the cottage too.
The very pretty openplan staircase (normal pitch) leads to the very pretty eaves bedroom with kingsize bed and even a double-ended roll-top bath. There is an additional traditional box-bed in this bedroom too. The en-suite shower room has a lovely power shower. There is plenty of hot water always on tap! Fluffy towels and hotel quality bedding all add to the romantic luxury of this little hideaway.

Leave ReviewWhat a marvellous time we have had!
By Manfred and Anne from Bavaria, Germany on 03-Aug-2024Norma & James took great care of us. Made reservations for us in the pubs and restaurants. We’ve had a marvellous time with sightseeing, beaches, swimming. Dolphins could be seen at Aberporth. Y Beudy was comfortable and very quiet. We’ve enjoyed the wonderful pond and the birds picking & singing. If you hear something rustling and crackling in the morning it’s the squirrel eating hazelnuts! Many thanks to Norma & james, Goodbye Y Beudy.
Wonderful accommodation in lovely area
By Michelle & Sue on 29-Sep-2023What wonderful accommodation in a stunning coastal area. We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 nights in Y Beudy. In addition to the cottage we recommend: The walk along the coast path from Llangrannog to Ynys Lochtyn (where we spotted our first seal). Park at top of village if possible. Walk along the coast from Aberporth the Tresaith and back (chips in Aberporth!) Seal spotting in Cwmtydu Dophin spotting from harbour in New Quay A walk to the small but perfect local farmshop A visit to the Abbey & Church at St Dogmaels and if you make bread get some flour from the watermill Eventhough we had a couple of wet days this didn’t dampen our spirits, with a warm cosy cottage to come back to. Thank you so much Norma & James.

Amazing stay!
By Ross, Dana & River on 07-May-2024We have had the most amazing stay here, it is beautiful, can’t find fault with anything! We have a 7 month old, the bath was perfect for him and me! The beaches nearby are beautiful and so much to do! Our dog loved the fire, the farm is amazing and our baby loved the goats. James and Norma are welcoming and nice to chat with. We will definitely be back, Thank you
A piece of heaven!
By Jill & John on 05-May-2024A piece of heaven is the only way to describe this place! Cosy cottage and beautiful gardens, fields and woodlands. We have been made to feel so very welcome by Norma & James, they are so helpful. The weather has been lovely for several days then chilly. The woodburner is excellent. We have slept well in the comfy bed and feel nicely relaxed after days of walking the woods and beaches around the area. Our Cocker spaniel has had a delightful holiday running so freely in the grounds, woods and beaches. We shall be back to this idyllic Wig farm next year. Thank you
Loved it!
By Abi & Mark on 29-Oct-2023Loved our stay here. The cottage is cosy and well-equipped and so peaceful! We both slept incredibly well. Loved the Woodburner and birdfeeder right outside the window. We even saw a woodpecker muscle its way on. Really enjoyed the walk from wig farm to Llangrannog, coastal path down & woodland path back. Sadly didn’t get to do as much walking as we would have liked as we had a poorly dog. We have visited the area before and enjoyed the coastal paths. Also recommend: - Pizza in llangrannog, delicious! - Cake & Hot Chocolate in the patio café Llangrannog also great - New Quay was a great place to hideout during storm Ciaran and good place to pick up the coastal path. Norma & james are lovely hosts! Thanks
