Description
The apartment:We offer a choice between two spacious one bedroom apartments in our historic Georgian mansion house - Gorran or Caerhays. Gorran is on the first floor and Caerhays on the ground floor, with a separate entrance from the car parking couryard.
Gorran apartment is located on the first floor and offers a king sized bed, a spacious lounge looking out over the East gardens. There is a dining table and integral fully equipped kitchen. The bathroom has a shower over the bath.
Caerhays apartment is located on the ground floor with a separate entrance from the car park. This opens into the lounge/dining room and from the small inner hall you can access the bathroom, kitchen and bedroom with king sized bed.
We can offer an additional bed for a young child in either apartment for just an extra £50 per week
The beautiful Garden:
You can relax in and enjoy our beautiful gardens which have multiple secluded seating areas and sun loungers on the south terraces. We offer a heated outdoor swimming pool from the late May Bank holiday until the end of August/beginning September. There is a games barn with air hockey, table tennis and pool tables.
There is an EV charger available
The area:
Our peaceful and pretty village has a village shop withing easy walking distance. You can enjoy an evening drink at The Tipsy Cow with views outside to the moors. Our historic pub, The Punchbowl Inn, has recently been refurbished and is scheduled to open soon.
What can you do here?:
We are just 6 miles from the attractive fishing villages of Looe and Polperro and 5 miles from the coast. Fowey, The Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan and myriad beaches and coves are within easy reach. Walking the south west coast path gives you stunning coastal views around every headland.
The National Trust has some fabulous properties and gardens in Cornwall. Lanhydrock, Cotehele, Saltram and Anthony are some of my local favourites.
Horse riding, golf and watersports are all available locally. There are woodland walks and opportunities to birdwatch.
Your arrival:
Check in is from 4pm, but we will let you know if your apartment is available earlier. Check out is at 10am.
We provide directions and pre-arrival information to help you make the most of your stay here. We have lived at The Old Rectory for over 20 years and have a wealth of local knowledge to help you get the most from your visit. We are here if you need us, but you can check yourselves into your apartment
and out again when you leave.
