This is not just an add on gite, this is our home and we invite you to enjoy it. You have full use of the house to yourself. Shaded balconies and a pool terrace means you have plenty of space to eat 'Alfresco'. Three individual double size bedrooms can sleep 6. New fitted kichen and appliances for 2025. Fast Fibreoptic WIFI internet.If you are looking for peace and quite, individualism, this is the place to be. Set South of Bergerac Airport which is 40 mins away, and Bordeaux Airport 1 hour drive. Midway between the Dordogne River Villeneuve Sur Lot, and Bergerac to the North. Setting amongst rural countryside, vineyards, and the 'Bastide Towns' of the region. Close to Golf course, many places to visit and explore the wine region!

Our House is a lovingly converted old farmhouse nestled in the countryside of Perigord, Dordogne. Originally built in 1871 the owners of the last century and a half have retained a lot of original features including the old well and a tobacco drying barn.
You will be delighted by the sense of privacy and seclusion. Then you will be impressed by the feeling of spaciousness and light inside the house. All the rooms, particularly the salon/dining area, are large and well-appointed with beautiful tiling throughout.
Three double bedrooms offering ample accommodation for up to 6 guests.
The garden around the pool is surrounded by high laurel bushes to guarantee privacy and the grounds stretch to 7 acres.
The kitchen is equipped with new kitchen fitted 2025, electric oven, electric induction hob, slow cooker, toaster, kettle, all cutlery pots, special induction pans. Large, fridge/freezer. Mixture of glasses. Separate indoor dining table, two separate outside tables and chairs for Alfresco dining. Easily accommodates six. There is also a separate utility/wash room and outdoor washing line.
The house is located in the centre of what is known as the 'French Bastide Circuit'. There are many villages with traditional markets, steeped in history and nearly all of them are up on 'a mount'. The 'Bastide circuit' is definitely worth exploring for its many medieval festivals and displays.
The river Garonne is also in the vicinity at about 7 miles south of us at the village of Castelmoron-Sur-Lot. Here you can fish, hire kayaks and small boats, swim in the river. The river Dordogne is located at Bergerac and is a 'must-see' place.
There are loads of chateaux to visit and wine tours to do!
A truly lovely area where the pace is just that bit slower and there are no traffic jams to worry about.
Well behaved pets are welcome! Confirm types of pet before booking though.
Not suitable for anyone with mobility difficulties.
No group stag or hen parties.

This year we were surprised by a brand new kitchen which looked lovely, was well equipped and easy to use. The outdoor spaces offer fantastic views in all directions. We were also fortunate to see a lot of local wildlife..... lots hares and deer. The local people are really friendly and I strongly recommend visiting one of the night markets.

Great Holiday
By P&C on 24-May-2025We really enjoyed our 3 week stay. The house is comfortable and well equipped. The pool was a great size, unfortunately we were little early in the season to enjoy it until near the end of the holiday. The area was great for watching the wildlife, deer (with babies), hares, red squirrels and lots of birds of prey and so quiet and peaceful. Walter (the poolman) was extremely helpful in recommending places to visit. Lots to do in the area.

The people in the surrounding villages were incredibly friendly and welcoming and we would recommend the local night markets in July and August. Beautiful countryside views all around the property. Kind and swift email communication with John gave us all the information we needed. I would highly recommend a visit if you enjoy peace and quiet.

8-day family break by the pool

The grounds were fantastic with plenty to explore, a big pool and sun loungers to chill on. We really liked the indoor & outdoor game selection for keeping us entertained. All in all, the house is really special and a home away from home.

John was very helpful from the moment we booked this place, that continued as soon as we arrived in France; great communication which puts you at ease. The house is set back off any sort of roads meaning you’re in your own little bubble, so peaceful and relaxing. The house itself is perfect and has everything you’d need for a week of sun, BBQs and relaxing. The pool was a great size, and was well maintained, the BBQ looked almost unused. Beds comfy, and the gardens immaculate. I couldn’t recommend this place enough for those wanting a blissful holiday. Great week, 100% would recommend.
