Maison Fleurie is situated in a small very old farming village tucked just inside the ‘Parc National de Quercy.’ A natural park with beautiful landscapes, it is a peaceful haven full of biodiversity which is a short distance from the buzzy town of Cahors and ideally placed to explore the many sites and experiences of the culturally rich area.

Cahors is full of restaurants, bars and shops and well worth visiting on a Saturday or Wednesday morning to go to the open air food market and then enjoy an al-fresco lunch in the old historic quarter.

St Cirq Lapopie - (20-25 mins drive) is a stunning village built into the side of a hill high up overlooking the river and fields below, voted one of the most beautiful French villlages.

Quite local to this you will find the incredible Grotte de Peche Merle – an awe-inspiring beautiful underground cave tour.

Figeac - (about an hr away) is an impressive quite large medieval town walk around the old centre and walk up to the Church on the hill for an amazing view.

The Celé is another river (along with the Lot) that winds its way near to Maison Fleurie. Some beautiful places to go see are Marcilhac (where you can also find canoeing) and Cabrerets.

Sarlat La Caneda (about an hr away) Is a super-buzzy, chic town full of shops and great sights.

La Gouffre de Padirac is an amazing, lit underground cave system you explore sitting in a boat being slowly ‘gondoliered’ around on the underground water.

Rocamadour Is one of the big sites to see. You’ll need to park at the bottom of the big hill and walk a few mins to get on a blue mini ‘choo-choo’ train up to the village itself. The lift (‘ascenseur’) takes you to the very top (found in the high street, where you buy tickets to go up one level or both- on the top level you will find the incredible restored church.

La Roque Gageac Is a very pretty town on the river and close by (within 3 km) is the medieval town of Domme, so you can do both at the same time. Other places to see are: Beynac; Castelnaud; The Marquessac Chateau has a beautiful garden, Chateau de La Treyne.




GROUND FLOOR
You enter the house via large barn doors. Once in the open covered porch you turn right into the Garden Bedroom. This is a single storey separate to the main house. It has a superking size bed and shower room with large wall to wall french doors overlooking the garden and pool.

Again from the porch, to the left is the front door to the main house. Into the hallway, straight on is a downstairs toilet and the utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board.
You then step down into the large open plan ground floor of the main house. The kitchen has an island with a Neff Induction hob and wine fridge. The kitchen has a very large fridge freezer with water dispenser, 2 NEFF ovens, a microwave, and integrated NEFF dishwasher. The kitchen has large floor to ceiling bi-fold doors which can be opened so you can walk directly into the garden al-fresco area.

Walking up a few steps into the dining area there is a large farmhouse table and seating for 10 and a door out onto a porch with 2 chairs that overlooks the pool and garden.
Walking past the double sided wood-burner into the lounge, you find 2 large sofas, chairs, TV/DVD player and WIFI hub. A cupboard houses games and DVDS.

FIRST FLOOR
Is accessed via 2 sets of stairs to the east and west.
From the kitchen you go up the east side past a small ‘organic’ library up to the to the 2 east bedrooms. One has a superking four-poster bed with ensuite shower room. The other is a smaller double bed with ensuite bathroom with roll top bath.

The other stairwell starts in the lounge and takes you up to the two west bedrooms. Small ‘organic’ library on the landing. Turn right into a room with a king sized bed and large windows with far-reaching views of the countryside, (the bathroom for this bedroom is accessed via a separate door directly outside the bedroom door).
Across the landing is another king sized bedroom with ensuite shower room.

Basement - Is currently sealed off for the owners.

Outside
Outside the Garden Bedroom on the upper gravelled terrace, is a large outdoor ‘vintage’ table for al-fresco dining with 10 chairs. A large outback charcoal and gas BBQ. This is under a tree for shade in the peak of summer. There is also a large parasol.

The lower gravelled terrace is long and slim and can be used for games of boules/petanque.

Then the pool area is behind a low lavender wall. The pool area has 2 large paved areas and a parasol. 8 sun loungers, 4 tables and pool towels are provided. The pool is visible from all around so parents can keep an eye on children, there is also a pool alarm.

There is ample parking to the rear of the house for 4-5 cars.


Private pool with safety alarm, WIFI/Internet, all bedrooms ensuite, dogs accepted, cots and high chairs for babies/toddlers, double-sided woodburner, large gas/charcoal BBQ, TV & DVD player, washing machine & tumble dryer, dishwasher, NEFF kitchen appliances, Nespresso machine and milk brother, wine fridge, hairdryers, ample parking. All linens and pool towels provided.

House activities: Boules/petanque, Pool Badminton/inflatables, Kids games, books and DVDs. Local Animal park.

Check in from 3pm check out at 11am (different times can be agreed in advance). Pricing includes all linens and towels including for pool and cleaning/changeover.

Guests are met at the house and shown around and given 2 sets of keys.

Booking Deposit

20% deposit on booking with remainder payable 6 weeks prior to arrival. Receipt of deposit will be sent.

Cancellation Terms

Deposits are non-refundable, but can be used against any future booking.
