Moulin de Bordes, a truly comfortable, peaceful, and comprehensively equipped converted water mill, is just 8 minutes from the village of Caylus, with bars, restaurants and local market, and only a short drive to the celebrated medieval town of Saint Antonin-Noble-Val. Residents enjoy sole use of the house, pool and grounds.
The mill overlooks trail PR1 in the sunniest and most desirable stretch of the 20 km Bonnette Valley, with views both long and wide.. Classed as an ''ecological zone'' it is populated by deer, red squirrel, heron, kingfishers, otters, colourful dragonflies + butterflies.

OUTSIDE
THE 10m x 4.5 m x 1.30 m infinity pool is unique in the world. It lends swimming an incredible feeling of openness, tricking the eye by appearing to flow into the river, whilst powerfully pumped water creates a sensation of ocean buoyancy. There are two large terraces which border the pool, with eight sun loungers and a choice of sun or shade, plus a third terrace with dining table for eight. A BBQ and cloakroom are located nearby.
Both mill leat and pond enjoy a continuous flow of water, and do not encourage mosquitos to breed.

Perfect family week
By Jeremy Lee on 09-Aug-2025Beautiful spot with a wonderful garden and pool. The mill has been sympathetically renovated and has three comfortable bedrooms and an extra room suitable for young children. Well equipped kitchen, conservatory, media room, BBQ facilities and sun terrace. Abundant wildlife in the pond and river. Day trips to St Antonin, Villefrenche, Najac and Cordes-Sur Ciel. Lovely smaller villages like Parisot, St Projet and Caylus for early morning pastries and Cafe au lait. Steve and Sue are great hosts and very quick to offer assistance with minor problems like flat tyres etc. Very relaxing week with the family.

A Comfortable Stay In Lovely Surroundings
By Mark Allit on 15-Jul-2023Enjoyed a sunny week in this superbly converted water mill. The house is very well equipped, in particular the kitchen, which unusually was so well provisioned we chose to stay in and cook for ourselves. Highly recommended. Mark Allit
