About Trevarthian House: Trevarthian House is a large detached grade 2 listed building of architectural and historic interest. Situated in its own grounds, with beautiful views of St. Michael’s Mount and Mount’s Bay, the house lies within fifty yards of the sandy beach.
Built by a Tin Smelter and Merchant by the name of Gilbert Pearce in the Victorian era, Trevarthian House was one of the largest residences in Marazion’s history. Its architectural style, palm trees, gardens and beachside location offer a colonial feel and the stained glass window and mosaic floor of the entrance hall hint at grandeurs of the past.
The grounds of Trevarthian House offer a tranquil holiday setting in which to relax. The location allows guests to be opposite the beach and St. Michael’s Mount while within four hundred yards of the centre of Marazion. The private driveway joins the main road through Marazion making Trevarthian Holiday Homes easy to find and a convenient starting point for visiting the surrounding area.
Penzance, St Ives and Land End are a short car or bus journey away. The apartments are all self-contained and refurbished to a very high standard. There is an office, free laundry and large private car park on site. There is also a bus stop 50 yards away.

Leave ReviewWe cannot wait to return
By Laura Riley on 19-Jul-2025We have had several holidays here at Trevarthian over the years. Ample parking space, flats in different configurations to suit all from one bed to 3 bed, bunks to king size. The flats are well equipped, clean and comfortable. Sean is a brilliant host and can sort out any queries, problems very quickly. As the house is set back from the road it is safe and you hardly hear any traffic. The grounds are mature and well kept. Trevarthian is a very short walk into the heart of the village and across the road is a fantastic play area and of course the beautiful beach and the causeway when open or landing spot for the boats to take you across to St Micheal's Mount. I highly recommend a stay. We cannot wait to return.
This is a real gem.
By Hendra Sands on 20-Jul-2025We have stayed here very many times over the past decade or more in nearly all the rooms and can wholeheartedly recommend Trevarthian without hesitation. We have had many happy family celebrations here. All are different apartments each offering something different in a beautiful historic building in a perfect location. Apartments have everything needed and are comfortable and spacious. Gardens are lovely and well kept and many rooms have stunning views. Sean is the owner and is always on hand - super helpful with anything we need, even some our less than usual requests and we love staying here, it is our go-to place. Plus there’s parking on site! This is a real gem.
It never fails to deliver
By Grenville Clark on 20-Jul-2025Been here several times and it never fails to deliver. Always clean and tidy. Very competitively priced. The rooms are very generous in size. An enchanting part of Cornwall. Booked twice this year and pre-booked for next year. Well worth a visit. As said above. We stayed with Sean many many times over 20 years. We love the area and Sean offers excellent accomodation at very competitive prices. He has apartments to accommodate individuals, couples and even larger families. There is perfect access to Marazion beach and St Michael's Mount, and plenty of shops just a stone throw away. We now live in Longrock, which is a 15 minute walk from Trevarthian and without the kindness of Sean and the beautiful surroundings we might not have moved here. Come on, what are you waiting for. Give him a call.
We love going back to Trevarthian year after year.
By Mariangela Bryant on 20-Jul-2025We love going back to Trevarthian year after year. We have been going in different seasons and stayed at different flats and always felt welcomed. Plus being so close to St Michael's Mount makes it all so special!
