By Harriet Moldon on 02-Oct-2024Had a wonderful week away in October - the cottage is beautiful and homely . Very well equipped for self catering , but we ate at the nearby falcon and merrymoor Inn by the beach - we have also rented Kate’s other house and both are very stylish . The beds and bedding is all super comfy . Would definitely recommend this house .
Super safe enclosed garden for our German shepherd to play in.
By S R on 28-Jan-2025Just back from a peaceful week away at Old Lanvean Cottage in St Mawgan, Cornwall. Cozy, comfy and located just where we wanted to have a base for trips out. The cottage is full of character being an 18th century listed building, with a super safe enclosed garden for our German shepherd to play in. A most comfy bed and fab cotton sheets, fluffy towels along with a lovely welcome present waiting for us on arrival. The owner Kate was always available by phone or email if we needed her. Would gladly return to Old Lanvean
A wonderful relaxing week at this property
By John Gibson on 15-Jan-2025Just enjoyed a wonderful relaxing week at this property. It provides everything you could wish for. Very well equipped you want for nothing.
Lots to see and do from this location, highly recommend.
By Donal O'Doherty on 01-Jul-2024Had a great holiday in Old Lanvean Cottage in July 2024 as a family of 4. As well as being fantastically picturesque, the cottage was really well located, was very comfortable and was equipped with everything we needed (including good WiFi, good TV choices, all the kitchen utensils you would need and even a washing machine). Local village had a atmospheric pub with quality food and also nearby was a tea room with fresh scones and a shop. Nearby beaches (only 2 to 3 miles away) of Watergate Bay and Mawgan Porth are both world class, excellent for surfing or body boarding and of course have excellent coffee and dining options. Padstow also very close. Lots to see and do from this location, highly recommend.
Another lovely week on holiday at Old Lanvean Cottage
By Alan and Maxine on 25-May-2024Another lovely week on holiday at Old Lanvean Cottage - we love both the cottage and the village and have already booked for next year's half-term holiday! The cottage has everything we need: enough space for the whole family, comfy beds and a well equipped kitchen. We particularly love the garden and the incredibly quiet location. Looking forward to next year!
The cottage is lovely and picture postcard beautiful
By Reuben Bhattacharya on 13-May-2024My wife and I stayed for a week in May and had the most wonderful time. The cottage is lovely and picture postcard beautiful. The beds are extremely comfortable and the whole house is very well equipped but not bland or faceless like some holiday rentals can be. The garden is lovely and we enjoyed drinks outside with the great weather we had. The local pub is also very friendly and lovely and it's great that it's only a few minutes walk away. Be warned though coming back home from the pub is uphill, so careful how many you have! Kate was excellent with her communication and even called us during our stay to make sure everything was ok. They also left a lovely welcome pack, which was a really nice touch. We will definitely be going back next year. A fabulous cottage in a fabulous setting!
