It has a wonderful spiral staircase leading to the bedrooms and bathroom upstairs, with full double-glazing. The cottage is just two minute’s walk from the harbour and main attractions, in a quiet side street and is convenient for car parks and the shops.

The accommodation consists of the following:-

Heating: The lounge has a electric oil filled radiator & electic flame effect fire, and in both bedrooms there are electic oil filled radiators.

The cottage has been newly carpeted throughout.

The fascination with Mevagissey can only be understood with a visit here. Its narrow streets (where you'll find the cottage) allow the unique character of this quiet fishing village to live on. The fishermen are still here, hauling in their catch at the end of the day. You too can go fishing on one of the deep-sea angling trips that are available from the quay or short mackerel fishing trips in the bay. Mevagissey is a great base for a walking holiday with the Cornish coastal path passing right through the village.

Close to the village are several other smaller villages incl. Gorran Haven and Pentewan. Mevagissey is right on the doorstep of the renowned Heligan Gardens and Eden Project.

For the keen golfer Mevagissey is centrally placed to reach many excellent courses and very close by are Carolyn Bay, St Austell, Lostwithiel & Porthpean. Within 30-40 mins drive you can reach Llanhydrock, Bowood, St Mellion, Looe, Newquay, Perranporth and Truro.

The cottage has been in our family for over 50 years.

Notes on accommodation:
The cottage has no parking spaces but it is possible to park outside in order to unload and there are two public car parks within a short walking distance from the cottage (Including 'Willow' & 'Sunny Corner' car parks, weekly tickets can to be obtained from Willow for approx £40 and daily £6.
The electic is operated on £1 coin meter & uses approx £15 to £20 per week.

Erin Cottage - Chapel Street

By Judith on 27-Jul-2024

Lovely week in Mevagissey - weather was most definitely in our favour. Had several beach days, Carlyon being our favourite. The accommodation was perfect for our visit. Very clean and well maintained. Free view TV, Wi-Fi and well equipped kitchen . The cottage is very close to all amenities; the harbour, the pubs, restaurants & shops. The owners provided some great recommendations for eating out There is a ferry from mevagissey to fowey, which makes for a nice day out and several other boat trips. We went on one of the coastal boat trips and were lucky enough to see the dolphins! Had a lovely stay and found the locals exceptional friendly and helpful.

A beautiful place to stay

We were lucky enough to stay in Mevagissey this summer and this was such a great cottage! Very centrally located, within walking distance of many restaurants and shops, with parking easily accessible. The cottage itself is spacious, with a lovely, cosy living room and two main bedrooms. Would definitely recommend if you’re thinking of visiting Mevagissey.

Lovely cosy cottage

By Jacqueline on 06-Jul-2024

Brilliant two week stay in this lovely cottage in the heart of Mevagissey. Very close to the harbour, pubs & restaurants & shops. Lucky with the sunny weather which resulted in numerous visits to the beach (Caerhays). Extremely well fitted cottage with everything we needed, looks like it has been re-carpeted throughout and new looking flooring in the kitchen area. Loved the free Wifi, and freeview TV with access to Netflix, Prime, You Tube, BBC i player which we accessed with our log ons. Also plugged the lap top into the back of the TV (via a lead provided) and accessed our Sky Go so we could watch the sport. Great visits to Helegan Gardens & the Eden Project. Can't wait to return next year.

A lovely cottage, central but quiet!

A lovely cottage in Mevagissey only 2 minutes walk from the harbour, pubs & shops! We had a great week doing some coastal walks, beach days & a trip to the eden project. The cottage was a perfect place to stay, clean, had everything we needed, and really close to a nearby car park. Can't wait to return again!

We have stayed at Erin Cottage a number of times in recent years and we love it. It has all the facilities you would expect from self catering accommodation and is conveniently situated within a couple of minutes walk from the harbour, pubs, shops and restaurants. Looking forward to our next visit!
