Pleasant Hill occupies an ultra-private, elevated position with far reaching panoramic views towards hills and countryside beyond Milngavie. Milngavie is not only a lovely, pedestrianised village but also embarkation point for the famous West Highland Way. It has been ranked as Scotland's most beautiful mainland town centre and one of Glasgow's most sought-after semi-urban/semi-rural areas. The town itself has a wide variety of shops, restaurants, deli's and bars along with essential businesses. Within easy reach of Pleasant Hill guests can play golf at Dougalston, Milngavie, Clober, Hilton Park, Douglas Park all within a few miles of the villa. Nearby Mugdock Country Park and Milngavie Reservoir are also popular destinations with tourists and walkers. The reservoir - opened by Queen Victoria in 1859 and main water supply for the whole of Glasgow - offers endless choices of things to see and do. Pleasant Hill also provides easy access to major sports arenas plus museums and cultural venues (eg. Kelvingrove, Royal Concert Hall, SEC and Burrell Collection), not to mention the city's dyamic nightlife.

I would recommend him and this property 10/10 365 days a year. All i ask is that you remember to take enough pictures so you remember how great of a time you had!!
Perfect Location - Even More Perfect Host
By Katie on 07-Jun-2019Chris was a remarkable host, always on hand to help us out and make sure we were getting the most out of our stay at his beautiful family home. The location is ideal for day trips to Edinburgh/Loch Lomond, with the train station mere minutes away, while also being perfect for relaxing in complete privacy. The villa is set within a magnificent garden which we had full roam of and the kids especially loved the trampoline! Chris was very easy to communicate with and was happy to accommodate any special requests, like a travel cot for our toddler. Altogether, a wonderful holiday destination, made even better by Chris and his family's wonderful hospitality. Thank you!
Perfect Stay
By kpfeehan on 13-Apr-2019Travelled with sports team and had an amazing stay this wonderful house. Chris was the ultimate host from beginning to end, ensuring everything was in place. The house is spacious, accommodating our party of 15 comfortably. Rooms were spotless, beds very comfortable and main dining area bright and airy. With only a 2-3 minute walk to all amenities - shopping, restaurants and transport into Glasgow central, we really hit the jackpot with this little gem.
Spacious House - Perfect for Large Groups

The kids had their own rooms, and the adults could go off to the second living room for peace and quiet. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need and Milngavie has a small village feel despite being just 20-30 mins away from central Glasgow. Chris was the perfect host. Nothing, and I mean nothing was too much trouble for him. We had a last minute change in numbers and Chris was flexible and helpful throughout. He was committed to making our stay an excellent one. I can’t recommend this place highly enough.
Perfect, Spacious Villa with Attentive Hosts

We Used Owners' Excellent Catering Services
By Susie on 16-Sep-2018We rented this property for 6 nights as the bridal party accommodation for our daughters wedding . It worked v well for sleeping, eating & entertaining . We used the excellent catering services of the owners - Chris and family - for providing meals and also serving dinner . (Great help to me - MOB!) Chris v helpful and always on hand as required. House warm and spacious . Would def recommend
