Description
NEWLY RENOVATED/ REDECORATED GITE LABANIENestled amidst timeless countryside, Gite Labanie is a historic gem dating back to the 15th century. Perched on a gentle slope, it offers panoramic views, just 6 minutes from Monflanquin and 15 minutes from Villeneuve-sur-Lot. The owners reside in the main house, which nearby, ensuring guests' privacy.
A private entrance leads to a garden, while a sunny terrace at the back offers beautiful vistas. The accommodation includes two double bedrooms, a bathroom with shower, a separate WC, and a fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances. A spacious dining room with an open fire and a large lounge with a sofa, TV, and stained glass windows provide comfort and elegance.
The Gite is WiFi-friendly and features hot air heating, doubling as air conditioning, for an extra fee of 12 euro a day. Monflanquin boasts medieval charm, with restaurants, supermarkets, and a vibrant medieval festival in August. Villeneuve-sur-Lot, a short drive away, offers shops, supermarkets, and weekly concerts by the River Lot. Nearby attractions include Villereal, Chateau Biron, Monpazier, and Beynac, known for its stunning canoeing spots.
Bookings require a 25% deposit, with the balance due a month before arrival. A refundable Euro 150 deposit per booking is required, with an additional Euro 50 if cleaning is needed post-stay. Please note, our Gite is best suited for guests aged 16 and above, ensuring a serene and tranquil environment for everyone. We regret that we cannot accept pets and that no smoking is allowed inside the gite. There is a designated parking spot.

By Istvan and Zsuzsa on 02-Aug-2025We had a wonderful stay at Gîte Labanie. The house combines modern style with character, making it both practical and welcoming. The rooms are spacious, with plenty of light and thoughtful touches, and there’s a real sense of space to relax in. The terrace was a highlight, offering wide countryside views that we enjoyed every morning and evening. Despite the summer heat, the thick walls kept the house naturally cool, so we never needed to use the air conditioning. It’s very peaceful, yet only about six minutes’ drive to the nearest boulangerie for baguette and pastries. The location is excellent too—close to Monflanquin and other bastide towns, and within reach of the Dordogne, which made exploring the area easy. Our hosts were welcoming, attentive and gave us good tips when we planned our program. Overall, this is a comfortable, quiet, and beautifully designed place to stay. We’d happily recommend it and look forward to coming back.
Lovely Gîte in an idyllic location

We have really enjoyed our time at Gîte Labanie and exploring some of the beautiful countryside around Monflanquin. You have created a wonderful Gîte, which is equipped with everything to stay in and go out. The fantastic weather enabled us to enjoy the terrace and views to the fullest and we are going home relaxed and refreshed. We’d love to book for next year, so hope to see you again! Everything you need
By Donald and Fiona on 17-May-2025Gite Labanie is in an idyllic, quiet location but ideally situated for exploring the towns and villages of the Lot and Dordogne. (Monflanquin with cafes / restaurants, shops and take aways is a few minutes drive). It has everything you need and is really well decorated as well as spotlessly clean. The terrace is a great spot for dining out when the weather is good and the lounge very comfortable if it's not so great. Robin and Andra were the perfect hosts, friendly and helpful when needed but giving us our privacy the rest of the time. Happy to recommend
Lovely Gite en France.
By K C Gullit on 13-Aug-2024We stayed there for two days and nights as a stop on our way to Spain. Next time this will be our final destination. Lovely spacious, very clean house , with lots of privacy. Although our hosts were lovely people , we appreciated our privacy. The view and the surroundings are marvelous. Sitting and reading , whilst looking over a large piece of land , where sometimes animals visit , was exactly what we wanted and needed. The hosts directed us to some good restaurants Highly recommended.
A fabulous spot in France !
