Overview
Description
The medieval manor is the perfect historic holiday home for families or friends in South Wales. The manor itself once belonged to Henry VIII. You can become lords and ladies of the manor during your stay.We specialise in weekend breaks, with a minimum of 2 nights stay required. The manor sleeps 10-18 guests.
This stunning manor house is steeped in Welsh and English history. You will be surrounded by four poster beds, ancient stone walls, and an incredible amount of original medieval features. You really will feel as though you have travelled centuries. The Medieval Manor absolutely resonates with history. We also have a lot of fun add ons like a large solid Hot Tub, covered outdoor eating area, outdoor bar and garden games
We are located in the lovely village of Caldicot, just 100 yards from Caldicot Castle and its 55 acre country park. The Castle Inn is less than 100 yards from the manor, where you can enjoy a good meal and a relaxing drink.
The Medieval Manor is one of the oldest lived in houses in Wales, a historic opportunity to stay inside history. Step back in time and experience an unsurpassed holiday rental, for small and large groups, in South Wales.
The manor is an amazing house, and I don't think there is another property so old in the country that can be rented. You really are experiencing history when you stay here. It's a very special property and we are happy to be able to share it with people. We do live on site and so are available if you need anything. The rental accommodation comprises exclusive use of the first and second floors.
Guests have their own private entrance with onsite parking for 10 cars. We are really happy to be able share the manor with the public, as we believe these places should be enjoyed and appreciated, so that they can be maintained for future generations. In staying here you are not only helping small business you are helping to preserve his ancient building.
