MULLION VILLAGE
Little Lizard's location in the heart of the village means all facilities are within easy walking distance. Take a stroll around the village and visit our 16th century church and sit awhile in the Mullion garden. We have a Spar shop selling great Cornish pasties baked on the premises and the Coop that stocks a good variety of produce. Mullion has two pubs serving local beers and meals plus The Milk Bar Cafe serving great breakfasts and lunches. Boots the chemist is in the centre of the village and we also have an excellent hairdressers. Venture a little further through the village to the Chocolate factory and Craft Centre with coffee shop and treat yourself to a Cornish cream tea. For golfers there is a fabulous links course in Mullion which takes in some amazing coastal views. Visitors are welcome to play a round of golf and enjoy a drink, lunch or snack in the clubhouse.

THE OWNERS
We love living in Cornwall and especially in Mullion on the Lizard Peninsular.

The Sunday Times dated 28th March 2021 listed it as one of the best seaside places to live. This is just an extract of the article:
"Here you can enjoy all that's good about Cornwall: you can sail on the Helford River; make sandcastles at Kennack Sands Beach; or take in the craggy spectacle of Kynance Cove. Inland you'll find pretty hamlets, gentle farmland and wild heather-clad moors, where fresh eggs and homegrown veg are sold at honesty-box stalls. Mullion, the Lizard's largest village, is the place to live if you want to be close to schools, a chemist and GP surgery. There are fishing villages such as Coverack and Cadgwith, or idyllic and expensive Helford, workaday Helston for superstores and high street essentials and Porthleven for a grandstand view of Atlantic storms and a slew of smart restaurants and cafes. You'll love living here if you're looking for the greatest Cornish getaway".

Stunning Decor

By Graham Barrow on 08-Jun-2021

After all the false starts with covid19 lockdown easing we were ready for a holiday and what a holiday it turned out to be!! Melanie and Terry were the perfect hosts, nothing was too much trouble and they ensured that Little Lizard was the perfect holiday accommodation. The place was spotless and brand new, every possible gadget was provided, the decor and artwork were stunning and the light and space was fantastic, easily absorbing 4 adults and 2 children. We all voted it "the best holiday ever". Even the weather was perfect with not a drop of rain in daylight hours all week, not that Melanie would claim credit for that bonus!. We have struggled to think of ANYTHING that could be improved upon, but if we had any suggestions it would be to provide 2 sets of keys and a hook to keep them on- we sometimes went out separately and juggling the keys so we could all get back in the house on our respective returns was on occasion a bit of an issue

The Perfect Base

By Tiffany Crawford on 09-Jul-2021

Little Lizard was the perfect base to explore this area of Cornwall. The cottage was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. Melanie was only 2 minutes away if we needed to ask her anything. The little courtyard was a sun trap! Mullion is lovely. We would recommend The Galleon for fish and chips (order ahead), Pure Bliss for a wonderful massage and the Cornish Curry Co - all in the village. Wavecrest cafe at The Lizard for food and views and The newly renovated Godolphin at St Michaels Mount. For St Ives try getting the train from St Erth to enjoy sweeping views of Carbis Bay and avoiding parking problems in St Ives. Loved walking to Poldhu beach and Kynance too. Such a beautiful part of the world and a lovely cottage to come back to in the evening! Hope to come back one day.
