It is an Eco-friendly holiday retreat, where sustainability meets comfort, powered by renewable energy from a state of the art solar PV system and solar thermal water heating, we also have an electric car charger, it makes the perfect destination for eco-conscious travellers.
We are pleased to have been awarded Gold in the Isle of Wight Green tourism awards for the 2nd year running.
We are at the end of a private drive with plenty of room for parking 4 or more cars. The house sleeps 10 adults in five bedrooms with 4 bathrooms

It is the perfect base for large groups of friends and large families wishing to spend time together and enjoy a relaxing short break or holiday at any time of the year with the micro climate of the island giving weather that is often better than elsewhere in the UK
Patio doors and large windows give a light and airy feel to the house while good insulation and central heating make Three Gables warm and cosy in the colder months and solar panels provide the hot water in the warmer months, they help to heat more than 50% of our hot water annually. In 2022 we installed solar PV and a Zappi EV charger and also an eddi to divert excess solar energy to our hot water tank. Any electricity generated that we don't use is fed back into the grid providing green carbon neutral energy, any electricity we have to buy in is from renewables.

Leave Reviewa wonderful holiday
By Malcolm Allington on 03-Sep-2025Our extended family (3 generations) had a wonderful holiday at Three Gables at the end of July. The house was a real home from home and was equipped with everything that you could wish for. Our grandchildren enjoyed playing golf in the garden and we made full use of the barbecue and outdoor tables and chairs. The view from the kitchen window was spectacular. There was so much to do on the island that we were spoilt for choice. We really enjoyed our time there and would seriously consider returning in the future. Thank you Roma and Martin for a wonderful holiday. Malcolm Allington 03 Sep 2025
A thoroughly enjoyable holiday
By Trevor and Lorraine Jones on 10-Sep-2025We had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday at Three Gables. The house is perfect for a large party and has the best stocked kitchen we have encountered for crockery, utensils etc. The bedrooms are light and comfortable, there are great views from the kitchen/diner and there is a lovely garden with a summerhouse stocked with garden games. The hosts, Roma & Martin live close by and are very helpful if needed.
Amazing holiday home
By Babara on 31-Jul-2025Amazing holiday home. 9 adults and 4 dogs had a brilliant holiday here. The house is spotless, located in a small quiet village with great countryside walks direct from the door. The house has a great layout with an excellent equipped kitchen and a wonderful verenda with dining table and stunning views over the countryside. The garden is secluded, dog secure and another large dining table and barbecue, sun loungers and a lovely summer house for a quiet moment. Roma was very helpful and easy to contact when needed. The Isle of Wight is very dog friendly. We would totally recommend booking this house. Barbara Georgiou 31 Jul 2025
Our 2nd stay
By Debbie Sherratt on 29-Jun-2025Just back from a weeks stay at Three Gables. This was our second stay and this year was just as fabulous as last years. The house has everything you could need and much more and the garden is just as good. Lots of garden furniture to relax on, games in the summer house and 2 lovely big garden tables if you want to enjoys your meals outdoors. We had lots of enjoyable trips out (when we finally managed to tear ourselves away from the garden), Freshwater bay, the donkey sanctuary, the garlic farm, Shanklin Chines and the steam train to name a few, all within a reasonable distance. Cannot recommend Three Gables highly enough, we would most definitely stay again
great base for a holiday
By David Hunt on 21-Apr-2025This was our first family holiday on the Isle of Wight and we (three generations) thoroughly enjoyed it. Three Gables was a great base for visiting the island's attractions and a great place to spend time at. Spacious ,comfortable and all you could wish for in a holiday home with great views We made good use of the games in the summer house particularly the croquet and badminton sets It was good too to have a charger for the electric car on site. The owners Roma and Martin were welcoming and helpful They arranged reduced rates for us for the ferry crossing from Lymington .Thoroughly recommended David Hunt 21 Apr 2025
Wonderful stay
By Louise Hemper on 19-Aug-2025We had a wonderful stay at Three Gables. The communication before and after our stay was brilliant. The house had enough space for multiple families to stay. The garden was perfect for the children and the views were stunning. The house is very well equipped with everything thoughtfully put together. Would love to stay again. Louise Hemper 19 Aug 2025
