Welcome to this lovely beachside apartment at Porth, Newquay. With no roads to cross, just a stile in the garden, and in moments you're on the beach!This spacious 2 bedroom apartment is at garden level and has views of the garden, beach, sea and coastal headlands, as well as direct beach access.
The modern roomy interior is perfect for Couples, Families and Friends, with the second bedroom made up as twin beds, or as a super-king on request. The master bedroom has an en-suite with a walk-in shower, and there is a family bathroom with full size bath, and shower.
The terrace, with part canopy, sits in a walled private communal garden, and overlooks the large expanse of sandy Porth beach. A short path across the mainly lawned garden, leads to a stile at the garden wall, and in seconds you are onto the beach. At the garden wall, take in the glorious view: the beach leads away westward to the Atlantic framed on either side by the rocky headlands of Glen Dorgal and Trevelgue (with Porth Island at its end). The west facing apartment enjoys some lovely sunsets
Step over the stile and enjoy the beautiful sands and shoreline of Porth beach; or walk South towards Newquay town (1.6 miles away) and Fistral Beach renowned for surfing, or North to Trevelgue headland for its fabulous views and iron-age heritage, and onwards to Watergate Bay, renowned for surfing, sports, bars and restaurants (2 miles away) taking the Coastal pathways to enjoy superb views.
Coast Apartment 1 offers time out with something for everyone, stylish comfortable surroundings, a fantastic beach on the door step, coastal hikes and breath-taking scenery. Just a short distance by road there are many surf schools including the Extreme Academy, sports centre, golf courses, restaurants and many other local attractions and amenities. This is a perfect base for all ages, for relaxation and contemplation, exploration and exhilaration.
Porth is well placed to explore all that Cornwall has to offer: Newquay, with its many shops, bars, restaurants, and activities is just 1 mile away; Padstow with its many bars and restaurants is approx 18 miles away ; St Ives with The Tate gallery approx. 32 miles away, and the Eden Project approx. 19 miles away…..just to name a few.

By Sami on 13-Sep-2025We had a fantastic week at Coast 1. We were pleasantly surprised by the large size of the apartment rooms and the location (yes it really is ON the beach!) The property was very clean with a well equipped kitchen. The walk in shower and wine cooler fridge were a nice touch. We actually ate in 4 nights of our 7 night stay as it was just so peaceful and relaxing. However, be prepared to “‘have to do” the evening walk on the beach in your bare feet and shorts (unless you fancy a swim!) We visited Boscastle, Port Issac and Tintagel, and did some stunning coastal walks. The local restaurants we tried were super, but would advise forward research and booking. Can’t wait to return and explore more of Cornwall from this wonderful base.
Wonderful stay at Coast 1
By Moss Family on 03-Jul-2025It’s been a few years since our previous visits with the family. Coast 1 was as wonderful as ever, bright and very well appointed. The apartment has been well maintained and the beds are super comfy. The best part though is its location on the edge of Porth beach. At the end of the garden the beach awaits for bare feet walking, shell hunting to body boarding. There is a great walk alongside the beach that takes you across a small bridge where the waves crash beneath that then leads to the headland. There are a couple of options to grab a coffee in Porth while out exploring. This really is a wonderful staycation option whether you want to rest and restore or go further afield exploring more of Cornwall. We hope to return soon.
Excellent accommodation
By Alan Young on 08-Jun-2025An extremely well presented and maintained property, with wonderful views and immediate access to the beach. Everything was catered for at the property and would recommend to all. Access was easy, even using a wheelchair. the town of Newquay is nearby with all the shops and eating facilities you could want.
Another wonderful stay at Coast
By Harriet on 24-May-2025What another fantastic stay at Coast. This was our tenth visit and I love it more every time we stay. The location of the apartment is amazing - right on the beach, with life guards throughout the summer months. It is quiet and peaceful yet close enough to be able to walk into Newquay for restaurants and bars if you want more nightlife. Always clean and with a wonderful welcome tray with tea, coffee and biscuits (plus the all-important pint of milk in the fridge!), the beds are comfy and the showers are brilliant. Access to the surf store also brings buckets and spades, body boards and beach games to borrow. I look forward to our annual trip from the minute it is booked. Can't wait to return in 2026.
WONDERFUL PLACE FOR A BEACH HOLIDAY

You have direct access to Porth Beach for the appartment. There are many walks across cliff tops with wonderful views and you are only a short drive to Newquay town centre. Overall, a wonderful place to stay!
Fantastic family friendly beachfront apartment
By Katie Codd on 28-Apr-2025We are a family of four with two young children and have stayed at this apartment 4 or 5 times. There are so many reasons why we keep returning, we love this apartment! The apartment itself is spotless, modern and spacious and the beds are the most comfortable we have ever experienced in a holiday let, we all sleep so well here. It has everything you need, even a washing machine, family games and smart TV (+comfy sofa!). The location is stunning, the apartment is literally on the beachfront meaning that the children can run straight out onto the beach or enjoy playing on the well maintained lawn. We enjoy quiet relaxing holidays here, it’s a great base for Eden or Padstow (we recommend the open top bus, the Atlantic Cruiser) or for local walks up the headland or over to Lusty Glaze for a drink. Summer evenings are beautiful, we take a paddleboard and enjoy the last hours of sunshine before the sun sets beautifully across the bay. Communication from Janet is always excellent, we’ve never had any issues and I am sure we will be back again to make more family memories. Just writing this makes me want to book our next trip!!
