By Matthew on 17-Oct-2025The host is beyond proactive and accommodating offered additional service and assistance not required flexible and fast to reply to questions staid there almost a month and I felt like I could count on him for anything but never felt smothered respected privacy and I almost forgot it wasn’t my own home

Yes Comments about this property Lovely position and enjoyed the accommodation. A couple of things were lacking for us. A basin/ bowl for the microwave to cook in. We did get noise early and late from upstairs. It wasn't too bad but it could be a problem for others. Thank you for the biscuits etc. The woods were lovely but got lost a few times. One toilet roll did not last the week. Only small suggestions. We loved it there. Thankyou Tips for other travellers Beautiful place. Lots of walking from doorstep and around the area. Very comfortable. The step in living area was a bit of a trip hazard, the road was busy next to accommodation. Ev charging was a bonus as was woods for dog walking.

Yes Comments about this property We booked a long weekend for extended family to celebrate our parents 70th birthdays and couldn't believe how perfectly this wonderful peaceful place met our requirements. Its a big ask to find some where a party of 14 including a baby , a child and two dogs can be accommodated together but still having our own space but we managed it perfectly with a combination of the lodges, the Old Barn and the Byre. The accommodation had everything we needed and the pizza oven was a real hit on our first night there. We really could fault anything even down to the cake on arrival with milk already in the fridge. Thank you so much for making our family memories such happy ones. Tips for other travellers The grounds and woodland are so peaceful and beautiful, Brimham Rocks is in walking distance (for some of us!) and we booked a table to eat at The Royal Oak pub which is a nice walk in the other direction as long as you don't mind a hill after a few ales. I'd recommend a wonder in he woods behind the house, they are beautiful.

Yes Comments about this property This was our second stay at Helme Pastures. This time we stayed in the Byre, a very comfortable and well equipped one bedroom cottage. The cottage was spotlessly clean. The location is fantastic as it is a quiet haven with access to the owners woodland. It is a short drive from the major town of Harrogate and the stunningly beautiful Brimham Rocks and Fountains Abbey.Helme Pastures is a true retreat from life's busy-ness.

Yes Comments about this property Chose this cottage as it had an EV charging point. This worked really well and took all stress out of our stay. The cottage itself is lovely with all the stuff you would want. Great location on the edge of the Dales and just outside Harrogate.
