Description

This 1890's Norfolk Carrstone cottage with many of its original features is in an excellent location for exploring West Norfolk and beyond.
Nearby Sandringham House and the Country Park, a short drive from a number of shingle or sandy beaches and country walks aplenty ensure you can have a relaxing holiday in this beautiful county. Several National Trust properties are easily accessible, including Blickling estate, Brancaster estate, and Oxburgh Hall.

The medieval town of Kings Lynn will be of interest to all visitors as it is brimming with historic streets, buildings, and courtyards or why not visit the famous Blakeney seals.
There are plenty of walks or cycle rides to explore including the Norfolk coastal path, Peddars Way as well as other local walks.

There are plenty of opportunities locally for bird watchers throughout the seasons at nearby RSPB nature reserves. From Autumn there is the twice-daily spectacle of the Dersingham geese flying overhead. Norfolk Lavender offers a lovely sense of relaxation and calm as you join them for a guided tour.

If you are a keen fishing enthusiast then why not visit the Fens network or arrange sea fishing along the coast. Or if golf is your thing, there are no less than nine golf courses in West Norfolk. Watersports are also catered for along the 35 miles of coastline. The variety on offer includes sailing and jet skiing as well as windsurfing at Hunstanton.

Within easy reach are a number of well thought of Gastro-pubs which offer local produce for lunch and dinner including fish and chips.Of course, if you fancy shopping and more historical sites then Norwich is an attractive day out.

While we are happy to welcome your dog, we will ask for an additional £25 to cover cleaning.

During COVID restrictions we will ask you please to bring your own bedding and towels.

We hopefully will visit again as you were a wonderful host and the cottage is so beautifully presented it felt like home as soon as we had unpacked . The place where the cottage is situated is great for getting around to places to go and visit and the woods in the village are great for taking the dog for a walk , we met loads of deer ,rabbits and hares in the surrounding fields on out travels ,also the garden centre was great for breakfast . The lady in the pottery shop was amazing we had many chats . Thank you for the great welcome .
