Sainte Pience Countryside Gite, Manche, Normandy, France - Sandy beaches at Jullouville and Carolles are within 30 minutes drive. Completely furnished holiday gite comprising 2 bedrooms and 2 shower rooms. It boasts country views and the private garden is child and pet safe. Guests will be sure to experience French rural living in this lovely open plan property. It is located close to village amenities with owners on site. Children are welcome with travel cot and highchair available. There is a fully fenced garden with barbecue and picnic table in shady area under pergola.Our gite:

KITCHEN, DINING AND LIVING ROOM
The well equipped open plan kitchen/diner provides a dining table which comfortably seats four. There is a full sized cooker with electric hob and electric oven and there is also a fridge with a small ice box, automatic washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, electric kettle and a toaster. Crockery, glassware, cutlery and cooking utensils are all stored in kitchen cupboards and drawers. Tea-towels are provided.
The adjoining lounge has 2 sofas and an armchair and accompanying side tables, flat screen television complete with FreeSat and a DVD player. There is a selection of books available for your use and free wi-fi is available.
BEDROOMS
One bedroom can be provided with a double bed or two singles and has an ensuite shower room. The second bedroom has two single beds and use of a second shower room. All bed linen and extra fleece blankets are provided.
SHOWER ROOMS
The fully tiled shower rooms each contain WC, shower cubicle and washbasin with large mirror, mirror lighting, shaver point and towel rail.
GENERAL INFORMATION
There are plenty of great activities and attractions in the local area. The gite is convenient for visiting Mont St Michel, Avranches, Villedieu-les-Poeles (famous for the production of copper and brass items, with large weekly market and many restaurants), Granville (coastal town with fishing fleet and yacht marinas and mainly seafood restaurants). Activities available locally include walking, cycling, riding, golf, tennis, fishing and swimming. Outdoor karting and paintballing available about 3 km away and indoor karting, laserquest and soft play area near Avranches. The zoo at Champrepus, near Villedieu, is well worth a visit. Slightly further afield are the D-Day landing beaches, Bayeux (including 'The Tapestry'), Caen, St Malo and Dinan.
Please note that there is a fully fenced pond in the owners' private garden.

Spotlessly clean, well equipped and situation was ideal for visiting several places of interest to us.. Richard and Lesley made us feel very welcome and gave us information on the local area. We hope to return next time we are visiting Normandy.
A perfect place to stay.
By Michelle Wills on 14-Sep-2025A wonderful gite to stay in. This was our week 3 of our holiday and it was by far the best gite we stayed in. We were made very welcome by Richard and his wife, who being English was a great help. The gite was 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom and a beautiful open plan kitchen/dining/living room, which was fully equiped with everything you would need. They even provided loads of games to play. French doors to the garden, which had seating for all. Also loungers were available in the under the stairs cupboard. It was the ideal location for visiting the Normandy beaches, which were great to see. Only 35/40mins to Sant Mont Michael, and about 1 hour to Saint Malo. Also two great places to visit. All in all it was a great place, home from home. X

Ideal holiday home
By The Chads’ Holiday on 06-Sep-2025We had a great holiday at the gite . It’s in a lovely rural location but not far from supermarkets and little towns so you get the best of both worlds. The gite itself is so comfy and cosy - everything you need and more. Richard and Lesley are perfect hosts - very knowledgable and there if you need them but not intrusive at all. A definite yes to a return visit.

By Kirsty on 19-Jul-2025We had a wonderful 2 weeks in Normandy. The gite was a great base to explore from and a lovely peaceful location. It was well equipped and we lacked nothing during our stay. The beds were very comfortable and the dog loved the enclosed garden. Our hosts were very attentive but not intrusive. We would highly recommend staying here.

We chose this particular holiday cottage as we wished to tour the Normandy area and visit some of the Normandy Beaches and Bayeux to pay our respects to our brave lads in 1944. The cottage was everything we would wish for our stay. Our hosts Richard and Lesley greeted us warmly on arrival and it was reassuring to know they were available if we had any queries. The cottage is very spacious, roomy and comfortable. The fridge is quite large and although they state the freezer is only small it is quite big enough for a week and could take large bags of frozen chips or vegetables. We shopped locally at nearby Avranches where there is a large Carrefoure supermarket including fuel station and a Lidl's. The dishwasher and washing machine are very handy and the there are two very generous shower rooms and toilets on the first floor. English television is available on a wide screen tele and and good selection of reading material. They have a beautiful garden at the front which is a joy to relax in in the evening when the weather has cooled down, just sit back and enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside. The surrounding area is stunning and beautiful and among other places we visited Mont St. Michel, 30mins drive, arriving before 9am to avoid crowds. We believe the cottage is good value for money but the best perk is that you can park your car right at the back door. So it's perfect for unloading and loading.
